Ah, a couple after my own heart 🙂
-Zanzibar (you could add on a short safari on the mainland too) – great beaches, diving, sailing, etc
– Croatia – the beaches weren’t that great but it’s gorgeous! Hvar Island is amazing
– Jordan – nice beaches on the dead sea, and you can go to Petra

Oh! I forgot to mention Turkey! We spent part of our honeymoon there and it was AMAZING. One of my favorites!

I love that you said that about the Whitsundays! That’s where I am getting married… it’s just a couple of hours North from where I live so I am pretty lucky. Sometimes you take the place you live for granted, so it makes me smile that someone else says such wonderful things… My fiance lives in the USVI so we’re having a reception there as well as one in Brisbane. Now you’ve made me even more excited about my wedding! Thanks 😀

@cbj9: You guys could go to Cuba. I know it might not sound good to many people, but it really is an experience! you get to see so many things that you never even imagine being from the U.S. To me it leterally felt like jumping on a time machine and going back in time. There is so many historical places to visit, and just to be able to see their peoples life style is crazy. Also the beaches, food, and atmosphere are amazing! I been there twice and will be going for a thrird time next year for our honeymoon, my Fiance has never been there so it should be lots of fun!

We did ours in Africa and loved every minute of it. 2/3 safari in South Africa and Tanzania, then 1/3 at the beach in Zanzibar. If it had been a different time of year we would have added Capetown. I’d highly recommend it if that’s your type of thing!

@cbj9: have you been to the south of France and Monaco?

My cousin had the same dilemma. They had been EVERYWHERE together. They settled on South Africa as a new destination for them both and did a lot of hiking.
Can you go to Brazil or a South American town? South Africa? Greece?
and all these other Bees have a pretty great list going… Definitely lots of avenues yet unexplored!
