If you intend to go the AI route, the first obvious suggestion is the caribbean.  Almost every island/country offers several AI resorts.  Yucatan Mexico is always a great place and has an abundance of things ot do.  Ive been several times.  Costa Rica is lovely too.

Have you signed up for weekly emails from any travel sites? I feel like that is a great way to browse some different locations without getting totally overwhelmed. Also, if you book via travelzoo or something similar, you know you are getting a deal.

What defines “trip of a lifetime” for you?  For me, that was going on safari.  For other people it might be a beautiful beach or exciting city.  Also, how long will your trip be?

If you’re not on a tight budget but you want a resort-y, beach-y feel, I’ve heard that St. Lucia is incredible. Also, a lot of couples are going to the Maldives and Bali these days… expensive but apparently super beautiful. I know there are all-inclusives on St. Lucia, not sure about the other too but worth checking out! Are ya’ll going on your honeymoon right after your November wedding? We’re getting married in November too, and one of the highly-recommend places for us to go was Australia and New Zealand, since that’s the beginning of summertime there in the Southern Hemisphere! So we’re doing a lot of beachy things – staying at a beach-side cottage in New Zealand, going scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. But we’re not doing an all-inclusive, I don’t think they’re too common there, although there are plenty of great resorts.
