I’d wait to see where he finds a job first. Both places are good places to live but with traffic in KC it makes more sense to try and live close to where your Darling Husband finds work. I-435 and I-35 can get fun during rush hour depending on which way you’re going. Taxes in general are cheaper on the Missouri side. As for apartments, SO and I rent part of a 4-plex for $775 w/o utilities for a 2bd/1 1/2 bath in Lee’s Summit but it’s cheaper then most places because we rent directly from the home owner, not a complex. Your dog’s size may be a limiting factor in where you can rent from. Some only allow dogs under 25 lbs and most charge an additional pet rent for each pet no matter the size. I know in the two complexes I’ve lived in it was an extra $20-25 a month for my cat.

PM me if you have any more questions. Good luck!

Jefferson Pointe (off of 119th) in Overland Park is a great place! I would highly recommend it! Great location near the highways and very quiet, nice pool and other ammenities and from that location you can get anywhere in KC in about 20 minutes (30 to the airport).

You are welcome! Sorry I wasn’t more helpful! I don’t know anyone who has lived in that specific complex, but I do drive by it on my way home from the grocery store at least once a week 🙂 I believe they are a bit older (from appearance only), but would be a good location with easy access to 435 (to get out to Lee’s Summitt for example) and while not as easy highway wise to Lenexa, are very close. The area is mostly residential (with several churches) and not far from groceries (obvioulsy haha), shopping and many restaurants would be only 5-10 minutes away. So that location would probably be good! Sorry I don’t have more knowledge of actual apartments themselves!

Check out Lawrence, it’s not too far way but more than 25 minutes. Totally worth it though! I’ve lived here my entire life and its such a fun town! The drive to KC is super easy too.
