We’re having 2 receptions when we return from the wedding a few months apart. I’d like to have formal invites but I am having trouble finding something that says
“Hey! We got married! Please join us for a reception at _________ on _______”
Something that’s cute, has reception details and such… Also, I know this will get some flack, but since I’m not having a shower here (that I know of, at least 🙁 ) should we put registry info in case people want to bring gifts?

I got my invites from Magnet Street. Granted, they were wedding invites so not the same situation as you, BUT you can customize invites to make them say what you want.

@mrs_pudding_pop: We had a very small wedding, and big party at our house a few weeks later. I decided to do evites, so it would be easy for people to rsvp and it didnt cost anything. Plus, you can make it say whatever you want.
ours said something like “Please join us for dinner and drinks to celebrate our recent marriage!” Then all details of where/when. We didn’t have a registry since we didnt really need anything and people still brought gifts lol

Yeah, we might do the same re: evites… Seems like everyone is connected to their computers at all times these days!

We’re also having a somewhat destination wedding where SO and I currently live followed by 2 receptions in our respective hometowns. I ended up making our invites since I coudn’t really find anything I liked/worked for our situation. (Plus I really enjoy being crafty.)
I’m still finishing some of the details, but here are the drafts:
The iside opens up similar to the photo below with the RSVP in place of their engagement picture. (Unfortunately, my sample wasn’t centered correctly, and I haven’t printed out a new once since fixing the margins so I can’t show you mine.)
The top portion has all the info about who’s hosting/etc using the following wording: “with joyful and loving hearts, (both sets of parents’ names) invite you to share in an afternoon celebrating the marriage of their children”. The bottom portion has the location, time, etc.
