We got ours from Etsy and honestly I don’t remember the cost. Maybe $3 each? Envelope and all.

@letsgobowlingx:  do you have a link to the etsy shop you used?

We did vistaprint.com and got an extra set of envelopes from envelopes.com so we could have inner and outer envelopes. For invitations, response cards, all envelopes, and menu cards and business cards with directions to and from venue we spent $200. I think we got 100 invitations? We did have a living social deal for a big discount, so that helped a lot. They do those living social deals frequently.

I was not super picky on having pricy elegant invitations, so I was glad to get nice invitations for a good price!

Here’s a picture:

EDIT: Sorry for the huge picture! I can’t figure out how to change it.

I shopped around for invites for a LONG time.  I ended up buying William Arthur invitations from Papyrus.  I am absolutely THRILLED with the quality, accuracy, and speed.  I highly recommend them.

We used Minted.com for our Save the Dates and I would NOT recommend them.  The quality was awful, they messed up my order, and they overcharged me.  I know others have had good experiences, but I certainly did not and was disappointed with the customer service.  They offered nothing to make it up to me.

We spent $240 on Save the Dates and $600 on invitations.

@W292737:  Yes, this is the shop: http://www.etsy.com/people/onereverie

and these were our invites

They also did the RSVP cards and then I bought those envelopes with pockets from a different company. LCD Paper or something like that for pretty cheap. I used a wax seal and stuck them in an envelope. I should have taken a picture of a completed one..oh well! Anyway, the invited were beautiful! The paper they used was like a shiny pearl paper, really nice!

I just ordered mine off of weddingpaperdivas.

There is a coupon code for free shipping & a percentage off (depending on how much your order is) and I saved 70 dollars with both coupon codes.

You can find the coupon codes on retailmenot.com

We used a small local company and it ended up being about $6 per invitation.  It was much less than I had been quoted from other companies, and given the hand-torn and gold-dipped edges, it was quite a bargain!

We ordered ours from michaels online and they personaLized them for us! We haven’t received them yet but so far the experience has been great. They cost about $2 per!

@abbie017:  Hand torn and gold dipped?  Your invitations sound beautiful.

I designed my invitations and printed them through Catprint.  With 5 pieces per invitation and tons of extras (because I miscalculated), it came out to ~$75.

Vista Print!!  We only needed 30 and I paid $46 for them.  Nontradition, cute, and we designed them ourselves.

Zazzle. I only needed 10 and their selection is better than vistaprint. They came out gorgeous. About $2 each.

I am printing my own. I usually use the University printer where I am a Graphics Design Alum (and therefore treated like family in the printshop). But I want these to be perfect – so I am shopping around for other options.

I heard someone mention before about a printing press online called cardsandpockets.com. I poked around their website a bit and I think I might try a test print from them to check out their quality.

PS I hate zazzle and vistaprint – as a professional designer these guys have a long way to go before they are printing quality material. Both have effed me over on pricing, shipping, quality and I would not use them again.
