I bought mine on overstock.com!  I was terrified of purchasing something ‘sight unseen’ but it was awesome.  I have a queen sliegh bed, tall dresser, long dresser, giant mirror that mounts on top of the long dresser, and a nightstand.  I had also purchased at the same time a dining room table & chairs, sheets, comforter, and a few other odds & ends… grand total was under $2000! Oh, best part- shipping was $2.95!

We went to Ashley Furniture and purchased their now-discontinued Carlisle set.  We have the king bed, 2 nightstands, tall dresser, long dresser with mirror, anndddd the queen bed, and a second tall dresser for the guest bedroom.

Uhm… with the queen bed, 1 tall dresser, 1 long dresser with mirror, and one nightstand, I know we paid $1,800ish because we bought floor models.  We had purchased the rest of the set previously.

Havertys was great for me. I got a king bed, nightstand and dresser. They have quality furniture without pushy salesman. This set will last me forever!

I went to a sort of discount furniture store. They buy a bunch of one-of-a-kind sets and sell them for 40-60% of retail. I got an amazing bedroom set that was originally $3600 for about $1900, and they threw in a box spring for free!

The place is called “The Dump”, but don’t let the name fool you. It was actually a very nice store, and the salesman seemed more interested in helping me get the info I wanted instead of selling me a bunch of furniture. It was a great experience. They’re located in several large cities throughout the US, so maybe that might be of help to you.

@ringringringring the Dump is great, especially for rugs!
