Oh…I feel your pain.  When I moved in with my husband, I had to get rid of a few things that I loved.  I had 2 Wassily chairs that were beat up and not even worth repairing.  But they were super cool.  I had to let them go even though it broke my heart.  I said one day I’d get nicer ones that match our decor.

If you really want to keep it, I’d paint it white so it’s looks clean and modern – almost like it would fit in with the decor at the Standard Hotel or the Mondrian.

Post pics if you decide to keep it!

the whole place doesn’t have to be perfect does it? we have nice decor most places but the office has the ugly comfy couch and all the things we love that don’t go. It’s actually my favorite room.

I would paint it…Maybe black with a silver Eiffel tower or maybe with the word "Paris" on the wrist or something.

If the Fiance is against it though, well we all have to say goodbye to something we love dearly at somepoint, and look at it as an opportunity to buy something together!

They make spray paint that adheres well to polymers (plastics).  Just use a mask (get it from Home Depot!) have plenty of ventilation, and don’t spray too much in the same place (you’ll get drip marks).  You’ll need probably a couple of coats to go from green to white, but in the end it’ll be worth the effort.

Paint it and then make a lacy slipcover for it.  Like a delicate French glove.  Talk about Ooo, La, La!  ;o)

It would be really modern if you painted it all in white…depends are you doing a mod French theme or a French country theme???
