FI and I are going to start our wedding registry in a couple weeks, as our first shower is March 22nd. We know we for sure want to register at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. We don’t live together and neither of us have our own places, so we don’t have anything to bring into our marriage as far as a gift registry is concerned. I would like to have two registries to give people options, but where else would be a good place to register?

@mrsdfarrar6714: Who else’s sstyle do you like? Pottery barn? Crate and Barrel? Macys? I could have done my entire registry off C&B I love them that much!
We did BB&B, C&B and PB

We are probably going to do Bed, Bath & Beyond and either Kohl’s or Target.

@mrsdfarrar6714: We did BBB and Macy’s. Macy’s always has a sale on (some fine dining brands never go on sale though) and Macy’s card members get rewards for buying off registry.

We used Amazon. It’s a universal registry, so you can add stuff from anywhere.

Depends on where you shop and where you think your guests would like to shop. We registered at BB&B, Kohl’s and Amazon.
BB&B because they have everything and are everywhere.
Amazon because some people like shopping online and they have free shipping if you spend $35 or have Prime. Plus, with their universal registry you can add items from any website.
Kohl’s because FI’s mom loves them and they’re the closest store to his dad/stepmom. I wasn’t planning to register there, but they have a 15% completion discount, and after your wedding is over they give you a credit equal to 10% of your guests’ purchases to buy anything from Kohl’s! That last one was pretty unique/neat, and what convinced me. It’s similar to the program @bellaluna290: mentioned they have at Macy’s, but doesn’t require you to have the store credit card to receive the reward.

@mrsdfarrar6714: Macy’s was amazing! I would highly recommend. They always have sales and coupons. Plus, they give you coupons when you register, which we used multiple times on shoes, clothes, MOB dress. We also did Target, but I would not recommend. We had numerous issues including people buying things and then not coming off the registry, even though they scanned the registry correctly.

We did Williams Sonoma and Macys. I would suggest either Macys or Target. From the guests perspective, I always like buying things from Macys as they usually have coupons and I can put the gift on a credit card.

@mrsdfarrar6714: We registered at BBB and Macy’s. We were going to do target but then I kept hearing all these bad experiences and decided not to go that route.

We’re doing BB&B, Kohl’s and Target. We’re also June 7th with the bridal shower on March 22nd

we registered with amazon.
we may end up taking some things off and putting them on a macy’s registry (our dishes, silverware, and pots and pans), just because it’s easier for people. but so far, we went with amazon. they have everything at amazon.

If you’re doing BB&B, I would add Macy’s, and maybe Amazon. The universal registry option is a plus!

William’s sonoma for sure!

We registered with Williams-Sonoma and Macy’s! FH and I both enjoy cooking so we are using WS for the higher end cookware stuff and Macy’s for most other things. I just want to add all the things from Williams-Sonoma…so many goodies!
I’m finding that Macy’s tends to have inflated prices and then they supposedly have a “sale” that matches the every day price at other places. Either way, you can’t beat their Dreamfund incentive so it’s worth it.
