I didn’t add them to my seating chart. They don’t expect it usually. Mine just found seats wherever they could, ate super fast, and then got back to photographing. They didn’t have a problem finding anywhere to eat. Especially since some people that RSVP’d didn’t show.

as a photographer myself I like when the bride and groom sit me close enough to the front that I can relax for a few minutes and enjoy a meal, but not miss any key shots. Even when the bride and groom are eating there can be some cute moments at the head table, sweetheart table, etc… I will be seating my photographer at a table up front with our MCs and their significant others… it will be off to the side from our parents/grandparents tables.

I’d like to add that I feel awkward when the bride and groom don’t give me a seat at all because I feel like I’m intruding on tables. When they know right from the beginning that I’ll be sitting there, it’s not nearly as awkward.

@Ms-Lace:    not necessarily.. but I would offer it. It’s always nice to be given the time to eat, and not to be rushed.

They probably won’t be eating for the entire 2 hours, but it is nice to give them a place to sit down. I’d ask them where they prefer to be seated.
