Hi LI Brides! I grew up in LI and am getting married there next spring, but am out of the bridal gown store loop since I’ve been living in the city for the past few years. So far I have tried Village Bridal in Babylon, the Bridal Suite in Bay Shore, Renate’s in Lindenhurst and the Wedding Salon in Manhasset. Any other recommendations? I have tried on a ton of beautiful dresses, but none of them have been "the one". I am also looking in the city, but thought I might find better prices out in LI. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!!

Have you tried Bridal Reflections? They have locations in Massapequa, Carle Place, and Manhattan. I plan on visiting them to look at bridesmaid dresses, and I was told the LI locations have better prices.

I bought my dress from The Wedding Salon in Manhasset 🙂

I ordered my dress from Bridal Reflections, like jgsg said they have three locations and once your dress is ordered they can ship it to any of the three stores for alterations. Well that’s what I was told 🙂

Try RK Bridal in Manhattan. Their prices are awesome and they have tons of gowns. It’s not the most relaxing or pampering of experiences, but the woman I worked with (Gilda) knew her stuff and picked out the dress that was clearly the one 🙂

I bought mine at the Wedding Salon in Manhasset.

I was going to suggest Bridal Reflections, as well. I got my dress from the one in Manhattan!

ther is aplce called the wedding center on crooked hill rd in commack…
they guarentee that any dress you buy is the least expensive that you can fine and …and they KEEP the names of the designers on the dresses by the way.
they also have Packages of photography, DJ’s and the other goodeis for the wedding day…they also will work with you if you buy things and then later on decide to add more things…they will work with you to make a package with you if you are interested in their photggraphy, then it is worth going with a package.
i was able to find my dress for $660…and my Maid/Matron of Honor dress for $140 when online the least expensive i have seen is $775 and $185 in another bridal store we found them for $1050 and $198 so I guess they arent kidding.
I havent finished my wedding so i do not know if they are good at what they do, but at least tehy have the things available if you are interested

If you are looking for a good experience, I had a very good one at both Bridal Reflections in Carle Place (there was one woman there who was WONDERFUL I will try to remember her name) and at Priscilla of Boston in Roslyn. I ended up buying from Priscilla of Boston because Bridal Reflections did not carry Melissa Sweet, the designer I ended up wanting. But Bridal Reflections has a much larger selection than Priscilla.
FYI, I went EVERYWHERE — I probably tried on 200 dresses. I went to Bergdorf’s, Kleinfeld, Cymbeline…even David’s Bridal! So I know what I’m talking about, LOL. Bergdorf’s was a very nice experience, if you are up for that.

Don’t waste your time in Long Island. I went just about everywhere and never found the right dress.
The wedding Salon of Manhasset is okay but very limited choices. You should head to the city were you have tons of options. I found my ceremony dress and my reception dress in NYC.
