Looking for some suggestions and ideas… I’m starting to think about outfits for all the pre-wedding events (bridal shower, bachelorette, rehearsal dinner, etc.) and the honeymoon. Shopping is not my favorite thing to do since I tend to be the awkward in-between size, and I have a short torso, so sometimes things just don’t sit right on me. Shopping can be downright frustrating at times!
Where do you bees shop on a budget – in store, online, other? DC bride here if that helps at all!

I follow a ton of boutiques on Instagram. That’s where I bought all my clothes for wedding festivities (& where I do all my shopping for every day too).

Short torso over here too, so hard to find things that fit well. Rent the Runway is great for wedding events if you don’t want to invest in nice dresses you may not wear again. Though I actually wound up buying 2 out 3 dresses at Nordstrom Rack and they were amazing and so affordable.

The dress section at Macy’s alwlays has a variety of beautiful white dresses! They’re usually ~$100 but often go on sale for 40% off.

I bought my bachelorette party dress and bridal shower dress on Lulus.com. They have a bunch of styles and their dresses are typically really good quality. I’m also a fan of francesca’s.

Nordstrom Rack has been my go-to for little white dresses, and the prices are great!

I bought all of my pre-wedding dresses at Boutique1861.ca! I HIGHLY recommend their website.

penguin14 : There is no reason you have to go nuts and buy special outfits for your prewedding events. By all means do so if you want, but if you don’t like shopping, why not just use what’s already in your closet that you know looks good? I’ve never seen anyone get a special outfit for their shower, though it apparently happens on the Bee quite a bit. Do you already own some decent dresses?
For what it’s worth, I had no shower/bachelorette and wore jeans to my rehearsal, as well as to my wedding bbq. So maybe I’m not the best at this advice, but I do hate shopping! I’d have definitely worked with my closet.

I just wore dresses I already had for my shower and for the rehearsal dinner. For the bachelorette I got a dress at Macy’s.

My coworkers have gotten some nice dresses from Lulus. I found the white dress I wore for the rehearsal dinner at Bloomingdales — I went shopping there last August and they had a huge sale selection of different short, white dresses (left over from graduation season, maybe?)
