Hey there!
We are getting down to some of the details in the wedding night, and we are currently looking at a place to stay on our wedding night! (not the honeymoon, we’ll go away somewhere for that later, just for the actual night of the wedding)
We are getting married in Melbourne, (Ceremoney at Monstalvat, the Reception will be in Newport at the SubStation which is where we’ll be finishing the night) and we are trying to find a beautiful place to stay the night of and the night after the wedding.
We’d love to go away somewhere, but as we have friends and family from overseas, that we don’t get to see very often, we think that on the wedding night, we will stay somewhere close to (but not necessarily in) Melbourne, so that we can have lunch with people from afar that we don’t see often. We’d through we’d stay at Werriby mansion, and went to book it to decover it’s booked out (since we looked 2 weeks ago!) so we are back to it.
The problem is, that when we search, all we really get is the big hotels in Melbourne CBD like the Hyatt, Crown, Hilton and all those big kind of chain hotels, which are not really what we are into. Something smaller, more intimate, a bit rustic, or quirk, uniuque is more us. I know that in a place like Melbourne they must be there somewhere we just can’t seem to find it, and every search is bringing up the same things.
Does anybody have any suggestions of smaller hidden gems that we may be able to look at? We’re looking at the end of October 2016.
