funny you should ask! My bffs (who also live in Boston – brighton area) just got back from their honeymoon in Aruba. Their pics are AMAZING – gorgeous sunsets and the food looks amazing. Plus – lots of activities (they did all kinds of hiking and watersports). They stayed at Divi all-inclusive and loved it. Hope that helps!

@SoontobeMsL:  Aruba is a fabulous choice!  We just returned from Aruba last week & it is one of the best honeymoon destinations.  We’ll be posting pics of many of the resorts (including the Hyatt) on our Facebook page in the next couple of days.

The Hyatt is very nice, we went over to it during our week there…but we stayed at the Mariott. I was AMZAED by the quality level of both the Hyatt and the Mariott, they were truly unlike any other outposts of those hotels I’ve seen in the US. It truly felt more like a 5 star hotel. We stayed on the club/concierge level and were able to make a number of meals off the available snacks and drinks.

The Reniassance is another popular option, but it does not have direct beachfront access!

And a friendly warning…be VERY VERY careful about the sun and sunscreen! You are literally right at the equator, so it’s easy to get roasted in only a few minutes with no SPF. It’s completely different exposure time than in the US or even the rest of the Caribbean.

look at the Bucuti, my sister Hm’d there and loved it. Said it is the only hotel that doesn’t have kids there.

When we were researching resorts in Aruba, the ones we looked at were the Hotel Riu Palace, Occidental Grande, the Divi and Tamarijn because they were all-inclusive. The Bucuti looked reaaallly nice, but it’s not all-inclusive. Guess it just depends on whether you want all-inclusive or not. Happy researching! 🙂
