Anybody stayed at the Harbourview Inn? That’s the place we’re most interested in right now — it looks fantastic and has a ton of great reviews, but I’m wondering if any bees have experiences to weigh in 🙂
We’ve also been considering Charleston Place Hotel, but it looks like you get more bang for your buck at Harbourview Inn — their most expensive room is less than the least expensive room at Charleston Place.
Any other suggestions/reviews?

I’ve never been to either but i have stayed at the Vendue Inn and it was beautiful – they have an amazing restaurant attached that is called the peninsula grill and they have a BEAUTIFUL rooftop bar and little courtyard outside. They also have bicycles you can use 🙂
Charleston is a beautiful city! i got engaged there and actually ran into a couple that was honeymooning – i highly suggest a ghost tour and a trip to folly beach! oh and of course the straw market!

Harbourview Inn is great but I think Charleston Place has a little bit better location. It is right across the street from the Market. My favorite is the Planters Inn which is right at the Market too. You honestly can’t go wrong with the places you are considering. Make sure you eat at Justine’s for lunch! 🙂

Harbourview Inn is really awesome. I’ve never stayed at Charleston Place b/c its just too pricey but I have been trying to justify the cost for our wedding night. As far as location goes the two are only a few blocks away from each other so I wouldn’t let that discourage you.

We’re looking at a Charleston honeymoon, too! What a great place to visit! I’ve never been but my fiance has one time a while ago and wished he had more time there.

Sign up for Jetsetter! They have great deals on Charleston hotels, and had the Harborview just last week!

I went to college in Charleston and worked in a couple hotels there and visited more. Charleston place is nice and if you have the budget go for it. Harbourview is cute and right near waterfront partk. I would have to agree that the Planter’s Inn would probably get my vote. Really cool hotel….little noisey since it is right now the Market but a great location for being in the middle of it all. Oh I almost forgot….check out the Market Pavillon Hotel on East Bay Street….it is beautiful and has a great rooftop bar!
