Fiance and i were thinking of taking a 4-5 day trip in May – and Vegas came up in the discussion! We’ve already been to Chicago… so we thought this could be our next new place to go!
We arent into casinos & gambling – we LOVE shows.
Where are some good places to go in Vegas? What hotels are close to the strip or nice to stay at?!
Let me hear your experiences!

Mandalay Bay is my FAVORITE. They have sand beaches and bungalos by the pools, and a shark reef aquarium…nothing cooler than that in my book. 🙂

Oh I vote Mandalay too! Or NY, NY. Although we’ve also stayed at Bally’s, which was a great deal considering how central on the strip it is.
Definitely catch a Cirque show while you’re there!

We are getting married at the Paris on May 18th!!! The New York New York was great when we were there last year and they sometimes have deals on travelocity that gives free show tix with your hotel stay…. The biggest suggestion I could give is stay close to the monorail since this is the best way to get around… Flamingo has an AMAZING tropical busy pool even though it is an older hotel….

I love the Palazzo or Ventian. The Encore and the Wynn are nice too. There is awesome food at those places. The Paris is fun too.

We always stay in the concierge floors of the Palazzo (at the Venetian).
You get constant service, private check-in and every evening they have a happy hour with delicious appetizers and it unlimited and free. The rooms are huge and absolutely stunning overlooking the Bellagio and of course its water show and to the right you get a bird’s eye view of hte Tresure Island boat show.

I stayed at the Monte Carlo and it was nice and cheap! I loved the pool there, and it was somewhat central. We didn’t have any problems there at all.

If you are going to Vegas there are two places that you should go visit:
1. The Erotic Herritage Museum-http://www.eroticheritagemuseumlasvegas.com/#!about-us
2. The Neon Sign Graveyard Museum- http://www.neonmuseum.org/
Not may people know about these places and they are so very VERY Vegas and so Very VERY fun!!!

I vote for Monte Carlo as well! Stayed there a couple years ago. Also the Stratosphere. My Mum, Aunt and Gram stayed there and loved it!
Apparently there’s some cheap-o rates going on in May… too bad thats when Darling Husband gets into the busy season. No trips for 6 months! …except maybe a short period in July.

We stayed at the Aria for our honeymoon – it’s the newest and it’s AMAZING. Absolutely beautiful. One of my favorite things we did was the Cirque show Zumanity at New York, New York – it’s 18+ only and topless and such a great show.

I would personally only stay on the Strip. It’s just so much easier to walk to everything.
It depends on your budget for what is the “best.” If I had an unlimited budget, I would stay at Bellagio, Encore, or Wynn.
Recently, I stayed at Mirage and loved it!! The pool is AWESOME! If you’re on more of a budget, I liked the Flamingo too to save $$. I would skip TI entirely. Their pool is so small and the casino seemed to be swarming with kids.
From what I’ve heard, a lot of the new hotels at City Center are kind of off-strip and a little bit of a pain to get back and forth to.
I saw Zumanity and it was a ton of fun…my husband and Future Brother-In-Law really liked KA. Clubs are really fun in Vegas…just try to get passes for your husband because girls are free, but guys wait in line and get charged $$. Last time we went, we were able to get in free at The Bank, TAO, and XS free with our husbands, which is usually a hassle.
