    Italy...please tell me where to go!

    New Zealand and Australia...this is the furthest down on the list due to all the flying

    France...we'd probably do Paris for a couple of days then head to wine country and maybe the coast?

    Maldives/Bali or some exotic beach...again, such a long flight!

    Greek Islands

    Multi country trip through Europe...sounds fun, but where all should we go?

    Other {please explain}

     I voted before I saw your posts — Clearly, you should be heading to Italy. I said a multi country trip. Italy, Greece and France would be nice. PAris isn’t my fav but that’s cause each time I’ve been there its raining. A few unexpected options include Lucerne, Switzerland (so beautiful), Bratislava, Slovakia or Vienna, Austria.

    A european cruise!  The meditterean cruises aren’t that expensive if you are flying there anyway, and then you get to see several places.  If you have 10 days or so…take a 7 day cruise and then stay a few nights in a different place before or after.  This way you only have to unpack once in the 10 days and you get to see several different places.

    I vote Italy since it seems like the long flights to some of the more exotic locations isn’t exactly what you’re looking for. I lived in Italy (Rome) for a few months and I’ve traveled the country extensively since that time and I absolutely LOVE it. The food, the wine, the art, the architecture – everything is just absolutely amazing and awe-inspiring. And as far as romance goes – with the possible exception of Paris, which I also love – you can’t beat Italy. The train system there is also really efficient and comprehensive. A Eurail single country ticket would serve you both well.

    Where I’d go with two weeks: Rome, the Amalfi Coast, Tuscany, Florence, Venice.

    I voted for the Greek islands just because I’ve always wanted to go to Greece.  I’ve heard the islands are beautiful!

    I think Europe is a great idea.  You can go to Italy (lots of wine and shopping) and then go to Spain, France (more wine and shopping).  This gets you moving around, more stamps in that passport, and the kind of vacation it sounds like you want.

    I would combine Italy and Greece so you can really get a feel for each. This would add to your relaxation!

    My Fiance and I met while living in South Africa, and we lived together in London for two years so we’ve already done most of Europe… so my dream honeymoon is definitely to go back to somewhere beachy in Africa- Tanzania, the Seychelles, Madagascar… even the Maldives… he’s planning it all though, so we’ll just have to wait and see where we end up!

    Italy is beautiful!  Just make sure you do a lot of research on Venice … I’ve been and it wasn’t the most "exciting" place … beautiful – yes; totally different – yes!; but just make sure you find things to keep you guys busy as it’s very far out there.

    Enjoy your trip, I’m beyond jealous!

    I voted for Maldives/Bali. I’ve been to Bali and my sister went to the Maldives for her honeymoon. From what I’ve seen, Maldives is exponentially more beautiful than Bali. I actually wasn’t even that impressed by Bali, and recommend Thai beaches over Bali beaches. Make sure you avoid the monsoon seasons in SE Asia.

    I suggested the multi-trip. I did a month in Europe a few years ago- Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, beaches in Italy, andSwitzerland. I would HIGHLY recommend Paris and Switzerland. The vibe in Paris was just amazing- I literally tear up when watching any tv show on the city, I want to be back so badly!! The scenery in Switzerland was just amazing. We ended up staying for 2 weeks, much longer than planned. I also sky-dived over the Alps! Amazing!!

    Please, please, please, wherever you choose to go, make sure you read as many books as possible before leaving. I find that always being educated before any trip makes it so much more enjoyable. PM me if you have any specific questions, I would be happy to answer them. I miss it every day- CONGRATS!!
