Yeah, I was wondering that also.  I’m afraid we might have been harsh to him in one of the threads :/

SO I was a day late and a dollar short when it came to the thread you are talking of so I felt weird replying, but I think it was a little ridiculous how upset some people got over what Mr. Coffee said in that thread. And Mr. Coffee for the record, I TOTALLY 100%  agree with you (on everything)!!! He said the same exact thing that other people had said but basically cause he was a male saying it he got attacked. Cause of the drama of the situation Mr. Coffee basically said he wouldn’t offer his opinion up because once he said something that wasn’t related to weddings he got burned for it. Some people need to chill the heck out on the board cause lately it’s just been a hot mess. Just sayin.

P.S.

@missfireslayer: I agreed too! Some of the bees seemed to take what Mr. Coffee said to mean that he doesn’t respect or accept that women can do everything a man can do and should be seen as equals, etc. I knew exactly what Mr. Coffee was saying. Girls like to pick fights. We really do. I know I do! And Mr. Coffee was saying that for him, a man who has probably always respected ladies and treated them as equals, it probably gets pretty tiring when women go on rampages around him about equality and respect. What more can he do than everything we’ve asked for, right? But you know, some of the bees took offense and went on the offense (which is exactly what he said he was tired of) and now he’s disappeared because there were some personal, snarky comments. I think as girls we’re used to being snarky with one another, but we’ve successfully shooed away the only man’s perspective (besides Mr. Bee of course!) that we had on here.

It’s rather ironic that we scared a man away from the waiting boards. I was a waiting bee at the time and you know, I wanted every man’s opinion I could get! I do hope he comes back!

@bRooklynRocks: beat me to it!

@missfireslayer: agree 100% – because he’s a guy (even though he was saying what many PPs had already said) he was needlessly attacked. :[

@missfireslayer: I 100% agree with you! Why have so many on the boards been so snarky and mean lately?! It’s completely unnecesary. It’s like people sign on just to start a fight. This is supposed to be a community of support and understanding. I think people need to just chill out. . .seriously.

I also say MR COFFEE PLEASE COME BACK, YOU ARE AWESOME

@missfireslayer: Ditto.  I said the exact same thing as Mr. Coffee before he did, and he was the one who got attacked for it.  I really appreciated having a man’s opinion in the hive, and how well thought out his posts were!

There have been a few posters who have been consistently posting in a questionable manner… basically creating drama but coming just short of crossing the line into making personal attacks.

I’m not sure what we can do about it.  Earlier this year, the community asked us to cut back on moderating and we have…  on the plus side, people have said they feel like they can be more honest and real.

The flip side is that we’ve seen a significant increase in snark and personal attacks on the boards…

@mrbee: thanks for chiming in and providing clarification. It really stinks ya know? A few bad apples can ruin the whole bunch. I vote tougher moderation since people can’t seem to handle complete written freedom, but that’s just my lil ole opinion.
