Oh man.  I used to wear rings ALL the time until I started the waiting game.  My hands definitely feel naked 🙁

Sometimes (lil embarrassing confession here) I’ll wear a fake diamond on my left hand, just to remember the feeling of a ring on that finger.  I haven’t worn a ring on it in so long that it almost to the point where it feels foreign.   I think that these are signs I’ve been waiting far, far too long.

Our poor naked hands   🙁

I visualize my dream ring on my finger every day…

I too stopped wearing rings once I officially started ‘waiting’…

Maybe soon we can stop wishing and hoping!!!

@OneOfTheseDaysAlice:  YES! I’ll be walking and if I notice my left hand is relaxed I’ll worry about “my ring” and go to touch it to be sure it’s there then… DOH didn’t have one to begin with! Durr.

haha I don’t even consider myself officially waiting, but I still won’t wear a ring on That finger because it might freak SO out lol (Not to mention confuse other people, and I don’t want to have to start explaining to people that it’s just A ring, not The ring).

But I did wear rings for a few weeks because I had that itch. And my mom even bought me a really pretty ring to wear. But I kept taking it off to wash my hands and it got annoying bc I’d be scared of losing it lol So now my hands are naked again.

I keep telling myself that I won’t take my real rings off. But that’s a lie. I won’t want to ruin them by constantly washing my hands lol

I get phantom ring syndrom in my ring finger – as in a I feel the tingle of a ring there even though there isn’t a ring there :-S

i don’t wear rings normally. just my college ring on my right hand (Ring of Knowledge!) but i am alway pushing my naked left hand at my SO whenever we are holding hands. I want him to notice how naked it is.

Thinking about a fake ring, though. you bees are bad!

I’ve never worn a ring on that finger for any length of time, but I used to wear a ring on my middle finger on my left hand. That’s now moved to my right ring finger and that feels strange…

I still like wearing this one as it’s the only ring I own that’s really my ‘style’ but I moved it off my left hand so I don’t have a ‘dent’ from that ring ruining the look of my hand when I get my E-ring.

As controversial as it is, an ex gave me this ring 10 years ago when I was 15. So when I finally take this off and wear only my E-ring instead, it will feel very very nice Smile

Yep.  It’s a weird feeling.  I used to wear a ring from my SO on that finger, but I switched it to my other hand for my internship this summer, and it feels really weird not to have anything on my left hand.  Sometimes it feels like it’s too light, if that makes sense.

@Scottish_lassie:  wow…and I thought I was the only one! haha! I know that phantom feeling you are talking about. Like something is…missing.

I dont wear rings really, but sometimes when Im annoyed at my SO Ill put rings on (not on THAT finger) and see him freak for a second when he sees them. Like hes going “what? what are thoooose? Shes not wearing any on that finger, right??” Its my own little form of rebellion *evil…but not too evil* hehe!
