Paris is beautiful and think it would be a lovely place to elope! If you need something stateside, would consider NYC or a beach local in Florida.

@araina126:Well, the flight there from Toronto was very cheap – that was why we decided to go to Bermuda. The hotel we stayed at was quite expensive, but not totally over the top. The room also had a fridge and a kettle, so we always had breakfast in our room, which saved a lot of money. As for the restaurants, food was not cheap but always very good and there are cheaper items on the menues to choose from. We’ve been talking about going back, and if we do so, we would probably try to rent something from a local so that we can stay a little longer.

I think there are packages, so look into that – but do consider making arrangements yourself if you’re worried about the prices.

All in all, it was the most romantic, pretty and fun place I’ve ever been to!

@echolove:  Niagara Falls. Especially on the Canadian side. πŸ™‚ Beautiful and romantic, not overly expensive! πŸ™‚ Good luck! πŸ™‚

Any place can be romantic.  We eloped to the first place we ever took a trip together….a B&B in the hunt country part of upper Virginia.  πŸ™‚

I LIVE in Costa Rica!! And honestly, it is one of the most gorgeous places in the world! I’ve travelled quite a lot, thanks to God’s blessings, and it is truly special! Both oceans, pacific and carribean are only 4 or 5 hours away from each other, the beaches are spectacular, the food is delicious and the people are super nice, the national saying/greeting is “pura vida” which translates to pure life, but it means mainly to enjoy your life to the fullest πŸ™‚

There are so many options that if you take a two week honeymoon you might feel you were in 4 different countries, there’s the jungle, the mountains/volcanoes, the laid back Carribean and the luxurious Pacific, and the cities, even though not a main attraction are decent. Also, if you know where to look, you can find amazing deals for lodging if you dont mind staying at a hostel type place or small bed and breakfasts.

Now that I am done selling my country πŸ™‚ if I had to elope, which means Costa Rica and almost every beach place is off πŸ˜‰ I would dream of going to croatia!, I have never been but from pictures it looks like it has the small town quaintness of southern France, the amazing beaches of Greece and the history of Prague….

I love reading about all these ideas!   Right now, I am thinking an NYC elopement would be amazing.  The idea of getting a picture of me and FH smooching in a yellow cab gives me heart flutters.  πŸ™‚   But all these other ideas too….oy this is gonna be hard to pick!

I had the same experience with family turmoil and stress!!  I got so fed up with them that I eloped and got married on Miami Beach, Florida.  It was so romantic and I can’t say enough about how great it was!   We had our ceremony right on the beach by our hotel.  Just the 2 of us!!!

Monique at Tropical Miami Beach Weddings did a fantastic job planning our wedding ceremony!  She took all the stress out of our hands, allowing us to truly focus on each other.  We were able to really enjoy the day and absorb every blessed moment of it.  We couldn’t have asked for more!

I suggest you check them out.

I hope this helps!

We just made the decision this past weekend to scrap all our plans & elope in the Mayan Riviera! We’re staying on a little 4-mile island off the coast of cancun called Isla Mujeres and getting married right on the beach with my fiance’s brother & his wife, and my brother & his girlfriend, then they’re leaving the day after the ceremony so we can enjoy another 4 days solo-honeymoon time! I can’t wait!!!!
