Me too.  I want to see something that isn’t an outdoor barn wedding, I love them, but you really don’t see a whole lot of variety right now.

@tksjewelry: I struck out the concept of a barn wedding for that reason. Now its a botany, vintage inspired wedding hopefully at my university’s botantical garden. I love those illustrations from 19th century botany books and I hope to incorporate them into our stationary and what not. 🙂

I like to call them Cracker Barrel weddings since they have a random collection of stuff everywhere, and the only unifying theme is “old”.

I would love to see something classic, indoors, non vintage, something like crebre80’s wedding on the blogs.  I loved how her wedding came out.

Sounds like you’re experiencing wedding blog burnout! I’ve been feeling this way for a while too, makes me upset since I’m not even planning my wedding yet! But yea, when you’ve read Weddingbee for months or years and a new blogger posts “Omg, I just found the coolest thing! It’s a guestbook that’s a picture of a tree and people sign with their thumbprints!” (no offense to anyone of course) you feel like, yea, I know. Take a break, read some other blogs, then come back and get excited again!!

I think Wedding Bee for me was kind of a bitter-sweet experience first coming into it. On the one hand I was SUPER excited to talk about all the girlie aspects and excited feelings that go along with planning a wedding, but then….

Reality hits and you realize that “original” idea you thought you had about what you’re doing for your centerpiece? Yeah well, not so original when 25 other women are doing a variation of the same.

But I do LOVE this site and think all you bees are wonderful, funny, and witty ladies! You make my slow nights at work pass so much more quickly! :o)

I get being tired of the vintage look-I guess I want mine to be a bit different mostly because I love those illustrations and as an artist I think it would be so fab to make those details myself (drawing some inspired pieces, or designing my own invites with them in mind). I think Im excited most about how if I paint or design my own stuff for the wedding, it cant be similar to someone else- unless someone out there paints just like me or something. I love the idea of putting all that together. I hope the wedding wont look too cookie cutter but I guess Im just excited to get all artsy again and to get married to the man I love. In the end thats the point right? 🙂
