Hello! I was a Vera Wang Ethel bride last year πŸ™‚ its a gorgeous dress and super comfortable!

I got a sash from etsy as they have a huge selection! i coudn’t find a good photo of my sash on this computer but hopefully you get the idea from my pics below. I wore two different pairs of shoes; one pair were my something blue (also pictured below) and one was a white gatsby-esque type shoes from Hey Lady- love their shoes, a bit pricey but super comfortable πŸ™‚

I know @MrsNeutrino: was also an ethel bride, maybe trime PM-ing her…. Hope this helps!

Sorry for the size of the pics, not sure how to resize them πŸ™

Thanks!! πŸ™‚ one thing to keep in mind: because of all the layers, the bottom of the dress/legs do get really hot, I was dying lol

I chose to use seller Glam House and I highly recommend them, they have a ton of awesome options! the dress is so versatile, you’d have a hard time finding a sash that doesn’t work! that being said, I just wouldn’t go with a super skinny sash πŸ™‚

hope this link works: http://www.etsy.com/shop/GlamHouse

Ooooh that is gorgeous! I couldn’t bring myself to spend that much on the sash so I looked outside the bridal salon (otherwise I love vw’s black sash with crystals) but that sash is really beautiful!! πŸ™‚

Happiestbridetobe: I wore Ethel but changed into a Melissa Sweet swiss dot dress for the reception.  You can see pictures here:

Stylish Spring Perfection {canyon gate country club}

Sash: I didn’t like the grosgrain sash that came with the dress and I felt crystal sashes were a little overwhelming for me so I wore a black horse hair sash.  I wanted the one off of the Vera Wang Eleanor dress but it was a little too big and bold.  I found smaller versions through Watters and Vera Wang White at David’s bridal.  I drove to David’s bridal and bought it off the rack.

Veil: I wore a plain raw edge veil and a crystal and pearl comb from Sara Gabriel. The veil was placed under the half updo.

My bridesmaid wore long black dupioni dresses from Alfred Sung in varying styles.

I also wore Le Mystere Bridal Bustier (even though the dress had built in bra).

I carried red peonies.  I originally wanted lily of the valley but my florist quoted an outrageous price for a small bouquet.  I don’t regret going with peonies.

I didn’t love my earrings.  I had a really difficult time finding earrings. I really loved these earrings http://perfectdetails.com/E1012.htm but I felt they were too expensive.  Looking back, I should have just bought them.  I realized I had moments of being really cheap and then splurging.

Bracelet was from The Limited:

@Happiestbridetobe:  That sash is stunning. The enamel flowers make me think it’s a Debra Moreland creation, perhaps…
