Hi Happiestbridetobe! I am also an ethel bride ๐Ÿ™‚ I am still waiting for it to come in so the only photos I have of it are from when I tried on the sample in the store. By zooming in on my photos it does look like there are about 6 buttons on the dress. I believe the organza is raw edge, but I don’t think it is frayed like in the pictures you show above.

What type of shape wear are you ethel brides wearing? I imagine you can’t wear a corest or anytihng with boning because it will show through the stretch satin… ? @profiterole you didn’t have any issues with the bustier? Did that go down over your hips as well or is it just a waist cincher? I really want something that nips in hte waist and lifts up the girls.

I am still debating whether to add a sparkly belt or just keep it simple and wear a decent amount of sparkly jewerly. My bridesmaids are wearing long grey dresses of their choice.

Here are my shoes:

My wedding band(!!!):

My clutch:

And I’m waiting for these earings to arrive to see if I like them:

No idea what I am doing about a veil yet. I think it’s going to be one of the last decisiosn.

So, so, so excited!

@BkLegalBee:  beautiful look!! I’d go without the sash, you carry the dress so well I don’t think you need one.

Love those earrings ๐Ÿ™‚ i nearly got those choos too but ended up with glittery loubs.

Nearly date twins too, but what’s a day eh ๐Ÿ˜‰

@BkLegalBee:  I wore the vw Gemma, had cups sewn in and didn’t have to wear anything underneath, although I have purchased different kinds of undergarments ahead of time.  I wouldn’t recommend wearing anything, since vw’s dresses are so well made

@clairelou29:  Thank you for the lovely compliement! I am definitely leaning towards no sash. I have a friend getting married in the fall and she chose the same shoes as me – I was looking hard at sparkly Louboutins too, but I dont think i can commit to the height! My wedding is from 7pm to 12:30am so its a looong day.

We’re weekend twins, I guess? ๐Ÿ™‚ It’s coming up SO fast! It will be a great weekend, no doubt.

@DrMrsYu:  Thank you for the feedback! That puts me at ease. I’m still waiting for it to come in so it has been a while since i tried it on. I do remember it holding be in well, though. I loved the Gemma also (who doesn’t???), but I think the material on Gemma is a little more forgiving than the stretch satin in my dress so I think my plan will be to just watch the salt intake the week or two before the wedding.

@BkLegalBee:  yeah coming way too fast! But in a good way. We booked 16 months in advance and at the time I felt like it was FOREVER, but it’s gone so fast.

we get married at 1:30pm and our bar shuts at 2:30am! My poor feet are going to suffer. Added a pic for bonus cause I love them so much!

and no matter if you have the same shoes, they are sure gorgeous shoes and they’ll make you feel that extra bit special and stand a little taller ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sorry it’s sideways, I’ve tried rotating and it’s not working!
