I would LOVE everything in Option #2, but maybe swap out one item for a veggie item?

I would probably prefer number 2 but I voted for number 3 because it has a good variety for everybody. If you know any vegans or vegetarians they would be happy with these options as well

Oh my gosh. I’d like to order about 10-12 of these, lol!

I would not pick a specific grouping, since some of the groupings exclude meat or vegetarian options.  Instead, I’d recommending choosing a nice mix of four of the following items, because I believe they will be among the more popular options for you:

    Mini quiches
    Bruschetta
Beef tenderloin croustadas or Kobe beef sliders
Coconut Prawns or Jumbo Shrimp cocktail
Mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese and spinach

I know that it really IS very hard to narrow down the list.  Perhaps you could pick more than four, and just pay a bit extra for the other one or two?  I actually ended up adding two at the last minute for my wedding, and I’m so glad that I did.

Also, does your venue/caterer offer opportunities for a tasting? That may help you to narrow down your picks.  Our venue offered two tastings per year, for a reasonable per-person cost, and all of the couples who were planning to hold their receptions there could choose to attend the tasting that was convenient to their wedding-planning schedule.

Before we attended our tasting, I had my heart SET on having baby lamb chops as one of our hors d’oeuvres. I’ve had them at other restaurants and thought I knew exactly what I would be getting. I am SO thankful for the tasting, because I did not like anything about my venue’s baby lamb chops (they were much too large to be eaten neatly as finger food, and I did not like the sauce they had on them.) This helped me to narrow down my choices. Ultimately, we ended up having two stationary hors d’oeuvres, including this AMAZING hot crab dip and a beautiful fruit/cheese/crackers display, as well as five passed hors d’oeuvres, including bruschetta, coconut shrimp, mini Beef Wellingtons, scallops wrapped in bacon (my long-time fave!), and white-pizza triangles.  People just raved and raved about the amazing food at our wedding, including our delicious appetizers.

When reading all of our input, try to keep in mind that we are all women, and the “hungry guy vote” is not as likely to be well represented in this feedback.  That’s why I think you probably would be wise to choose one beef item, one seafood item, and two other options, including a vegetarian selection.  This provides something for almost everyone. Then, if there’s something else you still would really love to have, add it as an extra item, if you can.
