Hi everyone! vote for your favorite accent stone. Give me some feedback on the wedding band design, and the proportions of the stone. My center stone on the 3 ring is 7.5 mm (1.5 DEW). I’m thinking a 4 mm colored accent stone on the wedding band would pop, but not overpower. The e ring is mine. the wedding band in each photo is a Fauxtoshop.

I’m torn between the hexagon and round. I don’t think you would be able to see from far away that it was a hexagon, but up close it would look cool. The round would have more sparkle, though.

I may be confused, so I want to clarify. Are you proposing to insert just 1 colored stone into the band design above? If that’s what you’re asking, I’d probably say the round shape is best. But imho, I think this look is a bit disjointed. Have you looked at different settings with ‘peekaboo’ stones hidden in the band?

I like the hexagon and round!!!! So hard to choose!
Thenroundnwould be more uniform and match however the hexagon is so diffeand unique!

I voted for the cushion, but also love the round. I really like the design!

my e ring has a 1.5 (?) pave band. the idea is to make a matching 1.5 pave band and have a single accent stone that is maybe 4 mm wide. My e ring already had a peekaboo in it.
I’m wondering if a diamond baguette on either side of the colored stone would make it look more integrated.
Thanks for the input everyone! Keep it coming!

Ahh, I understand. I change my vote then. No round. A hexagon, maybe even a precision cut gem specifically would be nice.

Personally, I do not like the look of the accent stones. Maybe if it was located at the tip of the “”v”, I might find it a bit more appealing. Have you considered a band with alternating diamonds and colored stones? Of course, if this is you dream look and you love it, go for it, but this look doesn’t work for me. GL

I love the hexagon! I think it would be so unique and pretty 🙂 I’ve never seen a design like this before, I really like it!

I like your wedding band idea. I voted for the hexagon, but the cushion was a close second for me. I like the way the accent stone offsets the center stone in your engagement ring. It’s a fun, sort of playful combination for a set, but also eye-catching. I liked how the hexagon shape compliments your engagement ring’s round center stone. But I like how the cushion would give an eye-catching “pop” of color from a distance.

I have considered a stone at the tip, but I think that would sit awkwardly because the bypass of the e ring sits just before the 6’o clock. Because of the chevron of the wedding band and the up and down arms of the e ring, I placed the gem where it’s at because of because there’s “empty” space there.
I think I am torn between a princess and a hex. I don’t want the stone to look like a belt buckle, but from far away the hex looks like a round.
