@Earlybride:  United is the only airline that ever seems to go where I want to… so they are my only choice. They are neither good nor bad, in my opinion.

@Earlybride:  I will only fly Southwest. I really hate flying and they’re very good at making it the best experience possible. I would rather fly with them as close to my destination as possible and bus, train, drive the rest of the way than fly directly with another airline.

Delta has lost my baggage 4 times. I no longer fly them for this reason. I hate United because they have the worst coach seats i’ve flown in the US (smallest, that is, but I am 6’1″ and particular about that).

I love American because their frequent flyer program is outstanding and it’s super easy to earn free tickets on them.

But, my very favorite airline in the US is JEtBlue (with Virgin being a close second) and neither of those are on your list.

Out of that list, I’ve flown US Air and American.  Quite frankly I didn’t find them much different from one another… hence I DID NOT VOTE for one or the other.

I am Canadian, so those aren’t my first choice (most available) airlines from here… when in Canada or flying elsewhere, my most frequent go-to is Air Canada…

LOVE AC, they have one of the best safety records of all time !!

(That alone is a very important element for me as I am a nervous flyer to begin with)

Sure they have their issues just like any other airline in this horrid times (ooooh how I long for the golden age or air travel… you cannot believe how AMAZING commercial airlines were back in the 60s and 70s, NOTHING like it is today.  Very posh and caring for  everyone).

I fly very often and as such I’m an executive platinum flyer with American Airlines. The airline goes everywhere and I’ve never really had an issue besides a misrouted luggage traveling to a different country. It arrived the next day, so no big thing. Also, you can always ask for an upgrade to business. Most times we get it because of our frequent flyer status. Definitely saves a ton of money. My Fiance was lucky enough (just once) to fly on the Concorde right before they retired the aircraft. Talk about luxury!

I’ve never had a time where I flew with Delta and they didn’t lose or purposefully leave behind my luggage.

I flew American when I was really young, but it’s been a long time. I don’t remember anything about them.

I used to fly United a lot when I lived in Vermont and flew into Albany. They were fine, but I’ve never used them for a bunch of checked luggage.

I’ve never flown on US Air.

Our favorite airline as a family is Frontier. Most of our flights are to Seattle or Orange County, so they have flights between Nashville and both of those destinations.
