I like a red wine (pinot noir) or some champagne, but I’m not picky! Beer never sits right with me at night for some reason.

I almost always go for beer nowadays. I just can’t drink liquor like I used to, and wine often gives me a headache or causes me to get really congested. I prefer something like a Sam Adams or Yeungling. Of course, if there is a specialty local beer, I’ll take that typically, as well.

Typically I will stick with wine – any sweet white is fine with me.  I usually drink Riesling.

Now and then I will do mixed drinks, usually with vodka.

if you’re not planning on doing on open bar, i’d probably stick to beer and wine.  it will cost you less, and please most guests.  i’d get a few different reds and whites, and a few generally well liked beers. make sure you offer a light beer option. what ever you decide, i’m sure no one will complain about free booze 🙂

I’m usually a beer or vodka girl. I like light/pale and wheat beers, but not the super dark stuff. I will also drink wine, if it’s around. I prefer sweet wines, like Lindsay. I do like me a good Reisling sometimes, but I’d reach for beer first.

I like white wine (anything but Chardonnay- Chardonnay is not nice for sipping) and Champagne. Husband likes vodka.

Vodka or rum. Maybe a white wine like a Riesling.

    @Linz1231:  ditto!

I like white wine at weddings, or the occasional vodka/pineapple.

The only thing on that list I don’t drink is vodka.

I prefer prosecco over champagne too, and a good prosecco is better than a cheap champagne, and cheaper too! That comes from an event planners mouth (not me)

I prefer white over red.  And sometimes have it as a spritzer.

I like real pale ale over dark ale / bitter.  I don’t like larger because it’s carbonated and it gives me a funny tummy (ale may be “fizzy” but it’s natural fermenting).

I’m very picky about whiskey, don’t like anything too smoky, so whilst I say I drink it I probably wouldn’t at a wedding.

I know a lot of people who find tequila disagrees with them, but I love it!

I prefer dark rum over white rum as it had more flavour but I love both!  Dark rum is something I drink neat/straight.

Gin is gin is gin.  It’s great.  Simple and I love it.  I do know a lot of people who don’t like it though.

Those are my thoughts, sorry for being quite opinionated Embarassed

And if I were at a wedding I’d probably drink champagne (or equivilent).  But it depends on how I’m feeling.

I prefer red wine with dinner & usually champagne (or sometimes more red wine) otherwise.

I really like Syrahs & Zinfandels, but they tend to be less popular, so I’d probably go for a Cab or Merlot at a wedding.
