My engagement ring was custom made by a local jeweler around my grandma’s diamond- a total surprise from my fiancé. I love how the ring is intricate but still “simple” as I am not a very flashy person (although I DO love diamonds…)! Now, I am looking to find a wedding band to go with my e-ring. It’s hard to find rings in store to try on that are 18k yellow gold to match my e-ring. Here are two of my options from the jeweler who made my engagement ring. I love both. I like how SIMPLE and easy the plain band is- it doesn’t take away from the e-ring at all. It’s also about $1,000 less than the diamond ring (hi, I’m frugal lol). But the diamond band is beautiful too and might look like more of a “set”?
Bees, please help!! <3
Also please note that I intend to wear the rings in the opposite order from that which is pictured here, in case that changes your mind at all. (My finger was red and tired from trying on rings)

I personally prefer the look of the plain band paired with your e-ring. It looks crisp and neat, and it allows the more intricate details of your e-ring to shine.

Though I agree with the pp I don’t think you could go wrong either way. So, I’m no help. 😊

The plain band is gorgeous and that yellow of the 18k gold is GLORIOUS!
I think the other band is beautiful but the detailing is different enough from your ering that it looks jarring rather than flowing together.

I normally like plain band, but the diamond band complements your engagement ring very nicely.
My vote is the diamond band.

I went with the fancy band because it matches, but I think both look great! I love your ring!

Voting plain band for your wedding band and the diamond band for a future anniversary/personal achievement/‘just-because’ etc..ring 🙂

I vote for the plain band and maybe a white gold diamond band later for an anniversary. It would really bring out the bezel around your stone. Beautiful ring by the way!

I am liking the idea of a plain band now and adding a diamond band later!! At a different store I tried on a channel set diamond band that was TO DIE FOR BEAUTIFUL but seemed more like something I would want to add on later. Also, I love the idea of another ring in platinum or white gold to compliment the bezel around my diamond.
Thank you everyone! 🙂 This really helped me feel out what I want.
