Hey Ladies! I need some help. So I have searched and searched and I am not having much luck until recently. Now my delimma is that I love my engagement ring so much that I don’t want the wedding band to change it too much or make it look like a totally different riNg. I went back and forth between one band or two – but I am doing one for now. Below are two pics. Obe is with a straight band that I think is very gorgeous but you can also see he differende in the band and the ring. I also thought to wear one on one hand and one on the other – thata just an option. Now the other is personally designed for my ring my the manufacturer. I will not be able to see it in person until it arrives, so I only have the sketch. Once again, my most important thing is not taking away from my e-ribg because my fiancé designed it for me. I would appreciate any alnd all options because I have to choose soon. If I went with the custom band I would have in sautred together. I can’t make my mind up! Thanks for your help!

@Candice512: I like the look of both, I can see how you are having a hard time with a decision. Since you don’t want to take away from your ering I would go with the custom made ring. Congratulations, your ring is beautiful.

I always vote for straight bands so you can wear it on it’s own. Some people never take off their e-ring so that idea isn’t appealing to them. However, I love my e-ring but some lazy Sundays I like to lounge around in just my wedding band (I never go without the band)

Gorgeous ring!! I would go with the straight band for Sure, it looks great with your ring. You can wear it alone when you don’t want to wear your ring which after getting married I’ve found myself taking my ering off a lot and just wearing my band. I had to choose between a straight band and the custom one that fit my ring also and I’m so so glad I went with the straight band. It’s gorgeous by itself and I really don’t want to ever have to sauder my rings together.

I really like the band made to fit your engagement ring, but something in the drawing (that I am hopefully misinterpreting), has me concerned. It appears like the entire top of the wedding band is diamonds, and that some of those diamonds would sit UNDER the halo? If so, this has big potential for damage from the diamonds rubbing.
Also, if you got them sautered, you would be hiding diamonds? I cant imagine that is what the jeweller has in mind, but it is kind of what the picture looks like

So pretty! I vote for the straight band as well. I love how it clearly looks like it belongs next to your ering, but is obviously a separate band. The curved band wouldn’t have as much visual impact.

@Candice512: Go with the custom half wrap band. I have a similar e ring but I went with a plain gold band so it wouldn’t compete with my e ring. I would have preferred a half wrap but we didn’t have the money to design a custom band at the time.

I would go with the straight band just for the simple fact that you may want to wear your wedding band on its own from time to time. The straight band will look nice both with and without your ering – but they curved band will only look nice with the ering.
Also – you should add a poll!

You ladies are a huge help! I have added the poll too! I am still tied between the two. I won’t go without my e-ring, but I might where them together or one in each if I go with the straight. Oh my goodness! No idea! LOL

If you want to wear two rings together then I think the custom band is the way to go! I think it would look lovely! If you want to sometimes wear just a band to show you’re married and not the whole set then you can always purchase a cheap tungsten band. I have a 18k yellow gold plated 4mm tungsten band that I bought off ebay for like $25 that I like to wear sometimes.
But, I also really like your jeweler’s suggestion of wearing your rings on separate hands. I may be bias though, since that’s what I do! I wear my upgrade e-ring on my left hand and my wedding band on my right.

The straight one is gorgeous, and it’s nice to have the option of wearing just the wedding band (when traveling or working out, etc.)
