I’m not personally a fan of the flower belt at all.  It’s too big and the drama of the dress is enough on its own (gorgeous dress, btw!).  If you want a jeweled belt with gold ribbon, try etsy.  There are TONS of belts out there that you can choose the ribbon color you want, sometimes for an extra fee.  And you can usually get a sample of the ribbon to make sure the color is what you want before committing.  Just convo the seller for info.

I love the jeweled belt!  It definitely takes the dress to a higher level of elegance and sophistication, yet doesn’t diminish the romantic and dramatic nature of the gown.  If you can, get a jeweled belt with champagne ribbon.

This might just be an issue of how colors appear in the pictures you’ve posted, but I actually think the gold ribbon of the flower belt is a bit distracting, and the more silver-toned jewel belt appears to blend in more with the lace bodice.  Alternatively, do you feel like it needs the belt?  I think with the lace detail of the peplum and how much the ballgown flares out, a belt might be unneccessary.

I believe there is another bride on these boards who has purchased this gown.  Maybe you can search for her posts to see what she did?

Jewled belt! The other one kind of blends in with the dress. The jewled one gives it a pop at the waist.

Beautiful dress! Alternatively what if you had the same/similar material of the skirt (the whiter edging for example) made into a belt with a generous bow at the back? It would tie it all together (no pun intended)! and you could add little jewels here and there if you wanted some glitz. Otherwise the jewelled belt still looks lovely. Good luck!

The dress is stunning and I might be in the minority but I love the flower belt with it. I think it goes more.

I don’t think this dress needs a belt, but if you do want one, a sparkly one but not that one, a thinner sparkly belt with a champagne/ivory matching bodice sash.

mbee7:  I’m with you. OP, do you have any pictures of you without the belt? You look absolutely stunning by the way

Congrats again on falling in love with that dress! As you know I’m biased but it looks absolutely beautiful on you!!!

What I love about the dress is the gold undertones in the lace bodice so I personally want to keep a gold belt. I had them remove the flower ( I find it too bulky) and will either use the gold ribbon alone or will find a thin gold sparkly belt. I will let you know if I see any good ones on Etsy as some have recommended. I don’t think silver matches at all in my opinion.

Some have recommended no belt at all, but I felt that was too bare (see pic for reference).

bunniejenn:  as I said in your previous thread, I’m getting the same dress. We prob tried on the same sample because I ordered mine from kleinfelds (nyc) as well! Crazy! Anywho the dress comes in a few different shades so make sure you order the one you like best. I ended up getting the ivory dress with silver threading in the bust. (Which is what the sample I tried on was so maybe yours is different because It def wasn’t gold) I actually hate the color of the belt and don’t think it matches at all so I’m (at my consultants suggestion) bringing in my own ribbon that they will attach the flower too At my fitting! Something to consider, you can kinda make a custom sash.

bunniejenn:  don’t mind my black bra but here is a pick of is holding up a ivory ribbon, and the silver thread in the bodice. I MIGHT ditch the flower and just do a plain ribbon belt but im waiting to see my own dress to decide.
