I think I really want to wear a bolero or something. I thought about something long sleeve since October here is unpredictable and can be very cold. But then I thought… I should probably wear a shorter sleeved one in case I get sweaty. That way I could always put a shawl over my arms if I get colder while taking pictures outside. But inside the reception, I won’t be in long sleeves. SO… here are some I’m considering. Please tell me which you like best or let me know if you have a better suggestion. Sorry but the bolero website only lets me zoom in and not save the image to my compy so I can upload it here… pretty please check the links.
Notice the covered buttons (please note, my final dress will be a poofier ball gown):
My earrings (and I’ll be wearing a thin string of fresh water pearls from my granny):
My potential belt (can’t decide if it should be added or not):
Bolero #1 Cap Sleeves:

I love the style and feel of #2 personally! I think the belt might be too much with the bolero, but it’s hard for me to tell, I”m such a visual person!

i love the second one, i love the shape it makes on the back, i like the belt too.

I added one more option to the poll.

Is the point of wearing the bolero, like an accessory? Will you be wearing it all night? If you are wearing it all night, I would have them tack it to your dress (under the arms), during your alterations. Or, hide a hook & eye to attach the dress and bolero, otherwise, you will probably be adjusting it all night. Also, sleeves (unless they are loose), will restrict your ability to move your arms above your shoulders. So, if your fiance is taller than you, this can make dancing tricky. Just some things to consider. I would do either the bolero or the belt, but not both. One is lace, and one is bling. Unless you are going to tie in the two different things somehow, like with your veil or headpiece. I think they are all pretty, but I like #2 the best. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll be considering it.

Okay, I love the belt/earrings/hairband combo. I think they really compliment each other. And I reeeaally don’t think you need a bolero. You look beautiful as is! The dress fits you super well. One thing you could try is to place the belt just under your bust. It gives the dress a whole different look.
I agree with @angelalsmith3 that you should go bolero or belt, but I think the belt adds the extra sparkle the dress is missing whereas the bolera makes it a little more conservative (though still very pretty).
Also remember that the dress will hang differently once it steamed… and definitely try it with a full crinoline.

I don’t think you really need a bolero either. I love the earrings and plans of wearing your Grandma’s pearls. I think all of that sounds lovely and your dress is stunning. I don’t think it needs a sash. What I would do is get a sparkly headband or something special for your hair (aside from having a veil).

Actually, I got a sparkly headband! Here is a side view of it and the stock photo of it. In person, it is super shiny! I’m surprised you don’t think it needs a sash. The day I bought it, I had no plans of a sash. But after seeing this pictures I thought it was too plain. But now I go back and forth. Anyways, thanks for commenting! I appreciate it!
