I’m in the UK and I went to school with a boy called Louis who was called “Lew-is” by his parents, “lewie” by the teachers and “low-is” by the other kids. Poor kid.
Call him Lewie if you want him called “Lewie”.

I have a cousin called Louis and would never think to pronounce it ‘Lewis’. Maybe because I’m in UK? I think both are nice names but Louis John sounds better than Noah John.
Very interesting feedback! I definitely think there is a difference in pronunciation in Europe vs US. I (luckily) prefer the “Louie” version. Darling Husband thinks it sounds a bit “too French” haha but I can work on him if need be 😉
Noah seems a lot more popular!!
I’m in the minority but TEAM LOUIS. It’s less common and I love the louie pronunciation.
