That first one feels way more beachy to me!  I can see why most girls would prefer the second though….still voting for the Amsale!

I disagree. The Amsale is a little more old-fashioned, while the Angelo is more modern, probably something your BMs could wear again.

I lovvvve the Amsale. But, could you find a more beach-y style dress that would work with their budget? I wanted Amsale too, but it was just too expensive for my girls…

Love the Amsale but the AA is probably more flattering for the group.

I like the alfred angelo one better, but IMO if you’re gonna have straps make them thicker, so the major issue I have with the amsale is the straps being sooo thin. But if you like the other one better then maybe take the girls to try the dress on? Maybe they will change their minds

What color would they be in?

The Amsale in that dark color looks a bit somber to me. Chiffon in dark colors can tend to look drab (and not very beachy). I don’t really like the second dress, but as it is it’s definitely more fun and beachy.

Amsale definitely fits the bill of beachy for sure!!  Light and airy, a little touch of romance with the ruffle, thin straps that remind me of a halter top you’d wear to the beach.  I am with you on this one!

However…consider your girl’s opinions.  Maybe they don’t feel as comfortable in this dress?  Maybe they desire a little more structure to this dresses, more coverage.  Have you asked them the reasons that they prefer the Alfred Angelo?  Is is budget?  Style?  Cut?  Maybe once you know why they are shying away from the Amsale, you can better pick a dress that fits everyone’s vision.  Check out dessy group if you haven’t already.  There are some nice flowy options on there, with a variety of price ranges and colors that might have the flowy beachy feel you want, but the coverage/price the girl’s want.

At any rate, both will look beautiful, and everyone will be looking at you anyway!! 🙂

What color will they be in?

I voted for the Angelo. I think its more flattering on most bodies because its structured. The first dress would look super flat and just hang on me. I don’t think its ugly, but not a style of dress I would voluntarily wear.
