The purple dress is super flattering, but do your girls want/need straps for extra support?

The teal might be a better fit for everyone’s needs!

@hopefull2014:  Based on the picture, the purple one is way more flattering in my opinion. I really like how it looks floor length but I’m sure it would also look good in tea length so that would be up to you. If you do tea length you don’t have to do matching shoes, I would do maybe a strappy white shoe or silver would look nice as well.

Im sorry, but the teal dress makes her boobs look terrible.  It is just a terribly unflattering cut.

    Purple all the way.

    Length doesn’t matter.

I’m really not a fan of the top of the teal dress, especially the straps. The purple dress is much more flattering. I like it floor length. If the girls want straps to hold up their girls (hehe) then I would go for a thicker strap!

@hopefull2014:  I agree with the others that the purple one looks more flattering. I’d go with floor length because then you don’t really have to worry about shoes matching or not. And I feel like long dresses people look longer and leaner too which is always a plus in my book! But I think it also depends on the formality of your wedding, tea length is less formal than floor length in my opinion. I guess the only bad thing about the purple one is it doesn’t have the straps for your girls that might feel more comfortable with the extra support.

I think the teal dress is very unflattering but I like the shape of the purple dress!

Do you mind if some girls wear tea length and other wear floor length? My BMs wore tea length dresses and their shoes didn’t match. I don’t think anyone even noticed (I never do).

Being a bigger girl, tea length is very unflattering if you are next to skinny minnies. They can make a bg girl look very very short and weirdly heavy.

Agree withother bees too, the top of the teal one is just really unflattering, but if someone needs straps PLEASE take that int consideration! I am that girl, the one who MUST have a well-cut dress with thick straps because I can;t wear strapless or go braless. I had to for SIL’s wedding, it was horrifying and we keep no pictures with any of us bridesmaids, I was spilling everywhere and look so horrid in the tea-length dress she stuffed me in (other 4 were all tiny and boob-less)

The teal one is very unflattering.  Is there an option for straps on the purple one for girls more comfortable with straps?  Tea-length is not very flattering unless you are really tall and skinny.  It can make people look shorter, which in turn makes them look heavier.

The purple dress in floor length is what I would go with. I know you mentioned those are brastraps in the photo of the teal dress, but I think the bust of that dress isn’t very flattering. The floor length in the purple dress skims the body in a nicer way – so it’ll be more flattering for a variety of body shapes.

I am in the same boat as you. I have 6 bridal party members and having to find a dress was a little challenging. You aren’t going to please every single person (I learnt that when I picked out the dress on Nov 9th). This is YOUR wedding and YOUR vision. You need to make the decision and stick with it. I found it hard with 6 opinions so I asked them their budget and style preferences. I took 2 of my wedding party out and just tried on styles til we found something that looked good. Only 1 person complained about the dress so 5 outta 6 happy was good enough for me!

Personally I like the style of the purple dress (you said it would be in teal so that would look really good) and floor length. I’m not sure where you live but in September I would go with the floor length because if its windy they will flow and if its on the colder side, the only thing exposed is their arms. I think it all depends if you want your girls to match. If you are ok with it, you could do both dresses –  3 in one 3 in another and than whoever wants tea length can have tha and who ever wants floor can have floor but in the end you need to stick with your vision and how you want your over all wedding to look.

    Good Luck!!
