Omg your dress is unbelievably GORGEOUS!!! I would say go with a French bustle, personally I like the way it looks over the American. There is also the double French bustle, which I think looks soooo dramatic but that all depends on what you think and how long the train is.

Your dress is gorgeous and very similar to mine.  My Future Mother-In-Law is an amazing seamstress so I left the bustle up to her and she did a French Bustle which looks awesome!

Hmmmm with dresses with sheer overlay, I prefer a French on the lower layer, American on the top layer.  That’s what I’m having for my dress.

I like french bustles more than american on 99% of dresses, so that would be my vote. It would help though if you had pic of this dress with both bustles to be able to choose from.

I’ve only ever heard of American and French – the most variations I’ve seen have just been in how many points you want.

What kind of look are you hoping for once it’s bustled? more or less body? layered? high? low? wide? thin? triangular? straight?

Have you talked at all with your seamstress about what kind of bustles she has experience with or what she would recommend for the specific fabrics of your dress?

French would be lovely, as long as the soft fabrics will drape that way.

Your dress is GORGEOUS!

My dress is multiple layers like that, and I went with an American bustle.  The French bustle didn’t let the layers move as freely, I thought.

No, Fiance and I share a camera and I didn’t want him to see them by accident.
