Neither are my style, but if I had to pick, I would say the top picture.

panda8710 :  Neither is my particular taste but I would go with the second one. The first one feels too much to me, but that’s just my preference.

I don’t care for the first one. Of those two, I’d go with the second option. I wish the lines were more rounded and there was less pave work.

The second is more my style, but everyone’s different!

Just my opinion: They both have way too much going on for a special stone like that! Tone it down and let that stone be the star.

Not my style, but I prefer the second one (the last two pictures).

I think the first one overwhelms the diamond, so I’d go with 2.

This kind of look is not my thing at all, it is just way way too much. If I had to choose I guess I’d choose the second one since it is a tiny bit less busy. But with this kind of specific I strongly advice you to ask the recipient regarding their opinion of the design seeing as it probably isn’t for everyone.

Both of these settings would require a pretty specific taste. Has the bride mentioned that she likes settings like these? I personally think they both have way too much going on but slightly prefer the first setting over the second. There is just way too much pace on the second setting imo.

Wow. That is an amazing stone! And a LOT going on in both those rings. If I had to choose, I would say 2. But I agree with PP, that would be an amazing ring…for someone with very specific tastes.

I prefer #1. The second setting seems a bit too modern for such an antique stone.

Number one. High settings get in the way.

2, but only really because it has less going on than 1. I hope the to-be-bride chose the settings herself , or whoever chose  them knows her taste very , very well.

That lovely antique  yellow diamond is lost in all that bling , and the prongs seem to belong to a another ring  altogether somehow

Too chunky for me but I think I prefer 1 as I like the curly bits. I don’t understand the prongs – are they really going to stick up like that??
