I really like all 3. My colors are silver/gray and blush with creams and whites. I’m going for a urban cocktail party feel. The cakes dont all match that feel, but I love each one of them and don’t mind deviating. If you think any of the below would look great in a different color, please share. My creativity is shot right now. 🙂
(1) Would be in the same colors, except the gold bits would be silver.
(2) The bow would prob be a grayish silvery shade or alternatively maybe blush.
(3) This is a portion of a Chanel theme cake I found online. I would do 3 few tiers with the cascading flowers and crystals. The cake would be white or creme. I like the gray flowers. I wouldnt have the pearls. I’m drawn to this one, but I’m not sure how it would look with 3 tiers and in a different color. I doubt FI will go for a black cake 🙂

I really love 2 and 3, however I don’t think the grey flowers on 3 will have as much of an impact on a cream colored cake, so I chose number 2. It’s so elegant and beautiful.

Personally, I like the 2nd cakes lace detail with the 1st cakes round tiers and flowers. If I could only pick 1 I would pick cake 1. They are all beautiful.

@mwitter80:Thanks. That was my concern with 3 too. I just can’t envision it in creme/white. The black probably makes it so dramatic.

@futuremrsmclean:Thanks. That’s a great idea. I’ll ask my baker about that.

I’ll be honest – I don’t love any of them. But my favorite of the ones you posted is #2.
I think the black cake is just too dramatic but I don’t think the gray flowers will do much on a simple white/cream cake.
The fact the the pattern on the first cake just randomly stops a bit before the top and the bottem (returning to just smooth finish) seems off to me.
