My venue provides a free cake and I can’t decide what flavor(s) to pick. I am a vanilla and buttercream person but thinking I might try something else for fun. Any thoughts?

strawberry shortcake.always yummy plus strawberries in febuary is always good (chocolate covered strawberrys- vday- they go to gether..
Oooh, mocha chiffon, guava chiffon, and black forest all sound yummy to me!
Strawberry shortcake is a safe bet that everyone will like! Have you thought about getting another cake too? Maybe with multiple layers so that people can accommodate their tastes?
I went with the chocolate truffle one, but the strawberry shortcake is a close second!
Mocha chiffon sounds so delicious to me right now. But I also know that mocha isn’t a favorite of everyone’s. So, I’d stick to something like truffle cake, german chocolate, or strawberry shortcake. Out of those three though – I’d only eat the truffle one.
I would do one chocolate cake and another vanilla (we chose chocolate with ganache and white cake with raspberry filling) everyone ate cake!!!
I love strawberry shortcakes personally…but I find majority of people like chocolate. 😀 It is an easy flavor to please most people…so personally would opt for choc flavor
Chocolate truffle or strawberry shortcake might be your most crowd pleasing options. Lots of ppl don’t like cherries, coconut, coffee, or even know what a guava or haupia is (I googled!). Also, some guests may have a serious nut allergy. And the only application for apricot that I can think of comes in a Gerber jar and is fed to little toothless creatures with little rubber tipped spoons while they bask in highchairs.
Can’t please everyone, I’m just throwing some considerations out there. I’d personally dive face first into some chocolate truffle cake.
I agree with strawberry shortcake. If you choose something too exotic, you risk picky eaters not liking it.
You need a nice girl to go tasting with, I’ll take one for the bee team and join you.
I’m a sucker for truffles, so once I saw that as a choice I voted. It should be a cake that you and your FH will enjoy, as well as MOST guests. IMO, I think it’s hard to please EVERYONE. They all sound yummy though! =)
