Wedding isnt until next Aug however I am conflicted as to where I shoud go on my honeymoon. We will not be going until November/December of 2017. My Fiancee is very active and will need an island with action. We are looking for some sort of Nightlife/Shopping/Sight Seeing also History would be nice too. Budget is around $2500.00 per person to book flight and hotel and it does not have to be All inclusive. We have decided not to go to Mexico/Hawaii/Bahamas as we can go there any other time. Anyone been somewhere that would be close to what we are looking for?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Well, not sure if this is in your target area exactly, but we just got back from our honeymoon in Aruba and we LOVED it!
Edit: We stayed at the Bucuti & Tara adults-only resort and it was wonderful….highly recommend it. And we were there in late July and the weather was still perfect! You feel totally secluded on a tropical island on the back side of the resort, but then you can walk out the front door and go across the street to restaraunts and shopping. Kind of a cool combo! Not a ton of culture per se, but we still loved it. Here are a few pics 🙂

We went to Grand Cayman on a cruise and didn’t get to spend enough time there. Similar to Jamaica but different. Awesome local beers, great seafood and miles and miles of beach! We’re considering going back for our anniversary trip and just visiting there for a week.

We adore Grand Cayman, we have been there several times and I would highly recommand it. Also we loved Barbados! Have you thought about a cruise? it’s a great way to see several of the islands. We always cruise then go back and visit our favorite islands. Cruising also gives you a good bang for your buck!

Turks and Caicos is amazing, and Aruba is also wonderful – there’s a ton to do there!

I love Jamaica. I would go to Negril or Royal Caribbean MoBay. If your fh is active he would love Dunn’s river falls

I second Jamaica. Negril is amazing.

Also – never been, but I’ve heard Costa Rica is a great spot for people who want active options! Hiking, ziplining, etc.

Came here to recommend The Bahamas as its where I live! But I see you’ve nixed it lol. If you do ever want to take a relaxed, get-away-from-it-all vacation check out Eleuthera 😊 (Google: glass window bridge bahamas)

We went to Couples Resorts Tower Isle in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. You’re treated like royalty there and it’s well within your budget. We splurged a bit and still stayed around 4k total. The food is amazing, the staff is out of this world friendly (tipping isn’t allowed), and they include a bunch of free excursions. They have all kinds of water sports and we went to Dunns River Falls which was beautiful. They actually take you through the waterfalls and you climb the rocks all throughout. It was a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

We are going to Dominica. My fiancé doesn’t love the beach as much as I do and Dominica has beaches and rainforests so it’s the perfect compromise for us.

Agree with Jamaica! Montego Bay is heaven on earth

I’m from Barbados, the beaches are pretty awesome here! And lots of night life in a spot called St. Lawrence Gap or Oistins. Also the Hilton Hotel here does different dance nights if that interests you and they are other activities for going around the island or being on a catamaran at sea partying, snorkeling to ship wrecks, swimming with turtles, sailing, diving, lots of things to do.

St. Martin would fit you wish list. We stayed on the French side and it was lovely. Had great meals on both the French and Dutch sides. Also, you would be able to easily take a day trip to Anguilla – which is by far my favourite island. (Didn’t recommend it because there is not much shopping/site seeing….but the beaches – especially Meads Bay, and the food there is to die for!)

I also second Anguilla! It’s my favorite place on the planet
