Hi bees! I’ve missed wedding planning so much. With student teaching, I haven’t had a minute to breathe, let alone plan a wedding. Regardless…. I’m back!
I’ve settled on a dress from dressilyme for my girls, but I’m not sure what color to choose. We’re having a late summer, semi-formal wedding with a whimsical, enchanted forest theme.
Color sceme A:
Main color: Light pink
Accents: Chocolate, taupe, ivory
Color sceme B:
Main color: Navy blue
Accents: Light pink, taupe, ivory (No shawls though)
My plans and my venue:

@OnceUponATime: I can’t see the pic of the dress, but I’m for color scheme B! Love it.

@pengoala: Oops! Fixed it! I copied and pasted a photo instead of uploading it. Clearly that didn’t work too well.

@OnceUponATime: Ooh yes, definitely the blue! 🙂 Love the dress!

@OnceUponATime: One of my bridemaids just sent me a photo of this dress! lol. Great choice. Colour wise… I think you’ll be fab either way. How many bridesmaids do you have? one thing I’ve noticed, the bigger the group, the more paler colours are less overwhelming. But unless you have an army, I’d be confident going either way! Sorry I couldn’t be of more help 😛

If you have 1-3 bridesmaids, the navy could be good, otherwise, with more bridesmaids, I think it’ll just be too dark, like a wall of midnight sky, for the rest of your wedding feel. I voted for pink to be on the safe side.

I like both, but I think I prefer B a little more. I think the blue, light pink, taupe and ivory would be a really pretty combo, too.

I think with the whimsical/enchanted forest theme, the light pink is a good touch — very fairy-tale like. I think the light pink is a good contrast against the darker tones in the wood accents in your decor, etc.

@goingtotherooftopoflove: and @jmarvellous: I never thought of considering how many girls I have!! There are 7 bridesmaids, which may be too dark if they are in navy blue. Do you think so?

@OnceUponATime: B, looks more fitting with the venue.

@OnceUponATime: I think everything you posted on your inspiration boards is fresh and light, and light pink would fit better with it than 7 women in LONG navy dresses. If they were shorter, it might work. What color will the men wear?

I’d go with the light pink as well. I think the navy on that many girls not only would look dark, but could throw your theme considering the inspiration board you’ve provided. The light pink would give that whimsical feel. Have you thought of an earthier color though? Your bm dresses could be the accent color of a muted brown or mossy or even dusty green? I’d only consider going the third route if you’re concerned about the femininity of the amount of pink. I mean this is *his* day too, so if he’s on board go for the pink!!

I chose the pink dress because I think the chocolate as an accent color would look lovely with your forest theme!

B! but i’m partial to navy 🙂

I vote for B but those were my colors, too. My Maid/Matron of Honor wore a similar dress, too!
