I feel like you should pick decor and flowers based on your favorites regardless of dress color and just take your girls shopping and see which color looks best with their skin tones and what color dress you like in person the best. But I also am all for a mix and match color scheme in weddings! I’m having my girls in an array of blush/champagne Adrianna Pappell beaded gowns (they each picked their own style) and still having lots of blue decor at the wedding to fit the pink and blue wedding I want. I’m just adding a blue hydrangea to each of their bouquets to tie it all together! AND your dress is gorgeous!

Dusty rose is beautiful for a May wedding, and it will coordinate well with grey suits.

They’re both lovely, but I’m drawn to the dusk with your dress and the navy tie, plus the flowers you’ve posted. Very pretty!

Do both! Have the girls mix and match. I am doing three bridesmaids colors for my girls- blush, dusty rose, and merlot. They chose a dress they liked in their respective color so they all feel confident when standing up there with me! Both of those colors you like are to die for!

I would say dusk, but that’s also basically the color my bridesmaids are wearing (they all seem to like it, by the way) and lavender is my favorite color so I’m biased!

I love the dusk! Both are really pretty and romantic but the dusk just has a slight extra… dreaminess? Moodiness? Something good, anyway! And I think it may be a more universally flattering colour. I’ve seen a couple of pale bridesmaids in pale pink and it washed them out a little. I like your suit example, again especially with the dusk.

I like both but I think the dusk really complements the charcoal and vice versa!

    saradiana32 :

Both are very nice but I agree with a pp who said let your bms try the colours on .   Lavender isn’t for everybody .  All in one,  or the other , or mixed will be absolutely  fine,   both for  their own sake  and with those floweres . It’s easy to get a bit crazy about such details ,  things  you would never have  dreamed you’d  get up about  !  .

By The Way I think  your  Fiance is dead right about  the not-matching tie thing, it’s a rather juvenile look to my mind .

I actually love the dusk and navy combination (honestly it reminds me of blueberries-which I love!), but I agree if you’re between colors have your BMs try them on in store and see which flatters them the most.

saradiana32 :  I was nervous about this as well. The solution I came up with is to have most of the flowers in my wedding white/ivory/cream. All the bridesmaids’ bouquets are white, and mine is mostly white with hints of light pink/blush. I figured the mostly white flower spread will not make it too busy, and is very classic!

I also chose to not have colored ties for the groomsmen. They have light grey suits with black shirts and ties for a monochrome look to their undergarments.

It’s definitely a concern that there will be too much going on color-wise, but I think balancing out the different shades of bridesmaids with neutral colors will solve that issue!
