Radiant sand emeralds will look the biggest. I’ve heard cushion and princesses look smaller for their carat weight. But if it was an option, ovals and marquise look the biggest out of all the shapes.

@oOmrsstopaOo:  out of the cuts you are interested in, radiant and emerald will look the largest. I have a 1.25 cushion cut diamond and i think it looks true to size but when i see someone with a round thays a 1 ct, it fsces up smaller. I dont care though bc i love the look of cushion cuts and for me its not about what looms bigger its about the quality of the stone.

To find the answer to your question go to http://www.diamdb.com.

Choose your shapes and compare the same carat of diamond.  This should also work for moissanite.

With fancy shapes you definitely need to see the stones themselves.  These cuts look very different from each other.

Forget about the biggest, just go with the prettiest.

If you are going with anything other than a round brilliant with moissanite, I would definitely pay the extra for the Forever Brilliant.  Even FBs will have some color to them, depending on the cut.  Princess and radiant will show more than a cushion will.  I think the cushion cuts are very pretty.

Not sure about cushion moissy, but cushion diamonds “face up” smaller than rounds. If you’re worried about finger coverage, a cushion is probably not the best bet

If you’re going with moissanite, I’d say no to all the shapes you listed and do an OEC. IMO, those look the most diamond-like (if youre going for that)..I think moissy princesses and cushions look really fake. I haven’t seen any radiant moissys, but the moissy OECs are gorgeous.

I’d caution against square moissy. The cut is really not suited to the stone. Moissanite is a beautiful stone but the square cut is just jarring to look at.

I’ve seen radiant and cushion moissies on the bee, and while they don’t look like diamonds, they’re nice!

if I went with moissanite I would only consider round or oec. The square is horrible it looks so bad like super fake costume jewelry. like a square cz looks a million times better than it. The cushions and radiants are ok idk if they would pass for diamonds though

I bought a moissanite FB and I would definitely go with that as opposed to a normal one-I only got a .3 radiant but in some lights I do see a yellowish tinge. I haven’t got it set yet, but I think it’s really pretty stone! 🙂
