Hello fellow brides!
I am really torn between the dates 5/2/12/12 and 6/9/12. Any opinions? The ceremony will be outside although we do have a nice indoor back-up plan, and our venue is loaded with azaleas (they bloom in May). I am just worried about more rain and chillier evenings in May? But, there can always be a heat wave or rain in June. As for blooms, there’s not much going on this month at my venue. So what do I do? I HAVE to make up my mind before I lose the date with my vendors (photography, etc).
Any insight would be great! This is driving me crazy!!!!

I meant 5/12/12 or 6/9/12 (typo – sorry) :-).

I’d go for June if you’re in Jersey

Thanks for your input. Yea, I’m in South Jersey, but the venue is in Philadelphia.

Go for May! I went to school in PA (about 45 min from Philly), and I loved loved loved being there in May. So gorgeous and like you said everything is in bloom.

I vote for May but I might be biased since my own wedding is in May. I too worry about the rain, but it could definitely rain in June as well (or anytime for that matter). I’d be more concerned about how hot it could be in June. Do you want to get married outside if it’s 95? Granted that could happen in May, but much more unlikely.

If you will be in downtown Philadelphia, avoid 5/12/12! That is Penn Commencement weekend ( http://www.upenn.edu/almanac/3yearcal.html ) and hotels have very high rates and get booked very very far in advance. Even though the large graduation ceremony is Monday, it affects hotels for the entire weekend.

I’m voting for June for the same reasons as philabride2bee – you’ll have a hard time with hotels. I’m pretty sure most of the Philly colleges graduate that week, not just UPenn.
