@LBalazi:  If you have wide feet, I would avoid Louboutins like the plague…I have moderately wide feet and almost all of his styles are torturous on Me.

For me, the most comfortable designers are Jimmy Choo and Manolo. I also like Valentino and Dior. I find these brands provide pretty good support, even for very high heels.

I find that I can wear Jimmy Choo, Louboutin, and Prada.  They all fit similar to me no matter the heel height and I am always a solid 6.5.  Also, if you buy from a department store (like Neimans or Bergdorfs) then they can stretch the width out for free.

@LBalazi: I have average/wide feet, so I have to be mindful of that when purchasing my heels. Others have already mentioned some fabulous designers (Louboutin*, Choo, Prada, Dior, Valentino), which I all second. But in addition, especially if you want some serious sparkle, I would also check out:

  • Miu Miu! (I positively adore Miu Mius. Plus, they are the quintessential sparkly wedding shoes for me).
  • Rene Caovilla
  • Charlotte Olympia
  • Brian Atwood
  • Giuseppe Zanotti
  • YSL
  • Gucci
  • Stuart Weitzman
  • Salvatore Ferragamo
  • DVF
  • Chloe
  • Alberta Ferretti

All of the above have been kind to my feet and can pack some serious sparkle (some more than others). I will add that you have to be very careful about trying on Louboutins. The sizing differences between the styles can vary tremendously (especially for wider feet), so make sure you try them on before purchasing.

@LBalazi:  of course you can wear sparkly shoes!  I wore gold glitter Jimmy Choos with my tulle ballgown, also had a sparkly belt.  Stuart Weitzman and Choos are most comfortable on my flippers flat, wide, size 11 feet.

Prada are the most comfortable heels I’ve ever worn. I could seriously run in those things! I think Miu Miu has a very similar fit although I’ve only owned flat from them.

@LBalazi:  I’m not an expert but I own a few Louboutins and sizing is pretty tricky. I’m also a size 8 with a little wider feet so I usually consult purseforum if I buy online. Choos seemed comfortable when I tried on a strappy 39 at nordstroms but I’m also trying to pin a correct size down. You cant go wrong with any of the listed designers and hope you find a pair you love! Good luck!! 🙂

You will have to order, but check out Hey Lady. Their shoes are amazingly comfortable and so cute! I also have wide feet, but they fit me no problem. You do need to call them for size ordering though though because all their sizes run different.
