Oh destination wedding, how do I miss thee?!!!  LOL.  I was planning a destination wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica (the inspiration board is here) but we decided to have a local wedding.

We chose Jamaica bc it has the least requirements to get married.  You only have to be on Jamaican land for 48 hours prior to wedding date.  Some places are much longer.  And they don’t require a blood test, like our other choices Mexico and Turks and Caicos does.

We were going to stay at Sandals but Secrets, a newer resort was cheaper at the time.  However, Sandals now has specials and deals going currently so we are honeymooning at Sandals.  Whew…I know that was alot.

Good luck!

Your best bang for your buck will be either Mexico or Dominican Republic. Since you have kids I would sugguest Mexico because you will have a lot more activities with little ones not to mention you will have a LARGE selection of all inclusive resorts.

We got married in the Riviera Maya (Mexico) this past December and it was freakin amazing! I am recapping now so if you want you can check out some of our photos on the blog. Wink

You can also do a destination wedding here in the US.  We did ours in Florida.  Mine wasn’t the cheapest because of some of the options, but it eliminates the international hurdles.
