    @cirk:  Ask them first if these are GIA-graded diamonds.  IMO, GIA grades diamonds on a very strict scale.  They also provide a report with a diagram of the corresponding diamond, with any inclusions shown.  That will give you a better idea of what you’re getting.  Have you looked at stones of this size in person?  It might help if you take a quick trip to one of the better jewelers near you to see loose stones.  Put a “D” color stone next to the “I” or “J” and see if you are color sensitive.

    I think they are all very lovely.  And, to choose from the three (without benefit of GIA grading reports), I would go with the 1.00 carat pear.

    Assuming these are GIA graded diamonds, I would go with the second pear.

    1. This pear has a funny shape to me. It’s kind of squat, and the bottom is flattened. I don’t find the shape pleasing.

    2. This one looks a lot nicer. Proportions are much better.

    3. I would stay away from I1 clarity. In fact, this doesn’t really look like an oval to me- I’m pretty sure it’s an elongated cushion. Not worth the price compared to the second pear if you don’t care about color.

    I’d say none of the above and try to go for a smaller carat with higher clarity and/or color.  Like the PPs said, you will see more inclusions and flaws in a pear or oval shape so you will need better specs unless you don’t care about that stuff.

    @cirk:  Definitely the second pear. The oval has an I1 clarity, meaning you can easily see inclusions (dirty little specks, chips, etc.) Whereas the second pear has a VS2 clarity (you can’t see anything to the naked eye and only under 30x mag.)

    The first pear is nice but I feel the cut isn’t that great. The second pear definitely stood out to me.

    @cirk:  Oval all the way! It has the better stats and also the size is perfect for your size fingers! Just my opinion.

    I say try some rings on.

    @Mrs Canuck:  Good advice +1

    OP   I will de honest the pear shape 2 is the best appeal wise.  However in my search of diamonds these prices seen low for stats of what they offer … Agree with PP in that you confirm if GIA or EGL or whatever other grader is used…. The prices worry me for the quality they quote…. If you go with this company, please ensure they have a good return policy so that if you don’t like the diamond you are sure to get your money back n not an exchange only crap but a money back full refund  On the other hand I would do this pear in a heart beat if I was looking for a new rhr cuz it is stunning with this pic….

    Also if your color sensitve , pps advice to do comparing at a local store is a great idea… Just so you know what your tolerance for color is n how sensitve your are. Good luck with your search n plz share a pic of the Ering with diamond you’ve chosen
