So my Fiance and I went to a taste testing of some menu choices today and we have quite a dilemma…We can’t decide! We chose one of our options (it will be a Garlic and tomato topped chicken dish) but we can’t decide between between a beef sirlion w/mushroom sauce option or Lamb sirloin option. I think we both really loved the lamb but is that weird to have at a wedding? would most people be opposed to a meat that is not so common place? Any thoughts would be great! Also I realize some people are vegitarians, there will be options for them as well but obviously this question doesn’t really apply for that. Thanks!

I voted beef, just because I’m not sure that lamb would be a popular option in my group. You never know though!

as long as you have chicken, lamb is OK. You are right, its not as widely liked but as long as you have a universal dish like chicken, go for what you want.
Alternatively, if you reallly like the lamb but want other sto choose from the beef, ask the caterer if you can preorder just two lamb for the bride and groom. They may let you.

I personally don’t like lamb, so beef for me. I’m not sure how many of my guests would like to have lamb, so I would think beef might be the “safer” bet.

More people will prefer the beef so I would personally go with that. I don’t mind lamb but I would probably opt for the chicken if those were the only options.
Our beef option was basically the same as the one your venue offers. It was a crowd pleaser.

You know your guests best. Do your family and friends like lamb? It doesn’t matter that it’s a wedding.
I prefer beef when given the choice but I don’t hate lamb. Some people are very particular though and will not eat anything they deem “exotic”. Either choice sounds yummy and should go over well.
