I have been to about 11 dress appointments now, and feel like I know a lot better which direction I want to go in for a dress than when I first started. So without further ado, here are my frontrunners- sorry that the pics for 2 & 3 aren’t great, they were taken on the sly.
#1- Pronovias Petunia, which was in my other poll-
I like this dress, but a few of my family members aren’t crazy about it and think it’s overwhelming. I am a little worried that I will be showing off the dress instead of the other way around, and that the train might be annoying on the day of. I also would have to add lace to the back of the straps. I like the overlay and the shape. It’s also the cheapest dress.
#2- Reem Acra Heavenly Lace
I would be changing this to not have cups and might build up a strap with the lace. I love the beadwork on this dress and the shape it gives, and it’s the lightest of the three. It’s also the most expensive by far, and would take the most work.
#3- Ivy & Aster Duchess
I would have to order this dress out of state and find a seamstress to do alterations or order it in NYC and go into the city for all my alterations. I have loved this dress for a while, but I’m worried it’s a little too plain. The belt would be different than in this picture. I don’t know if it has the wow factor of the other two, or if it feels formal enough. Maybe it’s even better because of its simplicity? It’s a good price and is nice and light.

Absolutely totally 100% #2!!! It makes your waist look teeny and it such a beautiful dress!!!

I couldn’t decide between #1 & #2 (I think I voted #2).
I agree #3 is nice but a little plain compared to those gorgeous lace dresses. They both look fabulous on you (without the cups on #2), but I think I might be leaning towards #1. I think the train is beautiful and I don’t think you “are showing off the dress,” as you mentioned. I love it!

First dress all the way. It is showing you off beautifully and vice versa, a perfect balance. If you can manage the train or find a way to shorten it or bustle it, I say go for it! 🙂

@Cornflakegirl: It can be bustled, it would just be au natural for the ceremony/pics/cocktail hour

I like #3…elegant…and you wear it very nicely. The other 2 are lovely, but I find they take over a little bit. Also, definitely not too plain…simply beautiful and don’t forget that sometimes less is more. Once you’ve got your hair done and a lovely necklace…it will be even more stunning.

Obviously in the minority here, but I think the third one is the most flattering on you. If that one’s not a contender, between the other two it would be the first one by a landslide for me. It’s very unique, but still very “bridal.” Good luck – please post the one you choose!

THE FIRST ONE OMG. I gasped when I saw it, it is beautiful!! The other two just do not compare at all.

I love the first one, I think it really is the most flattering and just so much more special than the other two

Your body looks WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW in this one.
#2 Reem Acra is gorgeous and all but maybe a little too much showing of your chest in my opinion.

I voted for #1, I love #2 too except for the top, I dont like the chest part.

My picks, in order: 1, then 3, then 2.
One is breathtaking. Totally gorgeous, unique, and elegant – looks like it was made for your body. I honestly gasped when I saw it.
Three is also beautiful and really shows off your itty bitty waist. I’m a big fan of tulle ballgowns, and this one looks so silky and perfect. If you’re worried about the dress being over-the-top, go with this one. It’s a wonderful clean canvas.
Two is nothing extraordinary. Looks good on you, but that’s just because you have a gorgeous body. Seems like a dime-a-dozen dress and the neckline isn’t flattering. (Keep in mind that I am biased against fashions that have visible circles around the breasts. I just think it’s off and even awkward, like “Here are my boobs, just making sure you remember that those are there”)

The second one is amazing! Elegant, chic, not too difficult to walk around with it I assume but you look like a princess!! And from the pictures it looks like it is enhancing your figure better than the others!! Good luck /giada

I think dress #1 is most flattering
