I think I found my dream dress. It’s Calistoga by Blue by Enzoani. I have a photo of me in it but it’s not the best so I’ve attached a larger pic of the model wearing it too.
My second fave is an Impressions gown, 3051. (sorry the photo is sideways.)
I think that I like the Blue by Enzoani one best but it’s just a matter of finding a store that carries it. The one I tried it on at was kinda sketchy. Only accepts CASH payments. Weird, no? Anyway, the other one is a nice second choice, it’s a little bit cheaper, and I definitely know where I can get it.
Also, being a 5’1″ bride, I don’t want a dress to be too overwhelming on me. Do you think they’re ok on my short frame?
Which one do you ladies like more?

I love-love-love the first one, but they both look great on you. 🙂

ohhh the first one! i think the second one has too much bling on top 🙂

You look awesome in the first dress!!

I don’t know. I don’t like the chunky crystals that outline the sweetheart on the second… And as much as I loved the look of #1 – I tried it on when I was dress shopping and it overwhelmed me (and I’m 5’8″) w/ all the ruching and crystal chunks. I would advise doing a little more shopping.

They’re both beautiful but I love love love the first one!

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone!!!

I love the Enzoani. However, that store does sound sketchy. A Better Business search is definitely in order. Perhaps you can get it from one of the reputable on-line dealers.

I love the detailing of the first one.. another one you should really look at though is Maggie Sottero’s Gwyneth, I actually thought the second dress was the Gwyneth until I read your post!

definitely the Blue!!! it’s so classy and unique! but i’ve been eyeing that one for a while so i may be a little biased! 🙂

The first one is amazing!!! I don’t think your height is an issue for it as the lines will probably visually elongate you and give the appearance of being taller (there’s also 4 and 5 inch heels if need be! )
The store definitely sounds dodgy but as you have quite a bit of time before your wedding, I would suggest calling around to different stores and trying to track one down that is a bit more reputable. At least with the dodgy store, you can try it on and determine what size you need so if you have to order it from an out of state store, it shouldn’t be that difficult I wouldn’t think…

I’ve decided that I’m definitely going to call around to all of the stores in the area that are on the Blue by Enzoani’s website.
I’m beginning to wonder if the version of the Blue by. E dress I tried on might have been a COPY of the actual dress. I’ve been reading reviews of the shop and other people had a similar experience. No designer tags appeared on the dress and they refused to give me a name of the designer or the number. Only after doing a ton of digging did I discover the “matching” photo of the dress. What’s even more suspicious is that the dress shop is owned by a woman who’s mom owns a DRESS MAKING/alterations business in the same building. That combined with the cash payment policy have made the decision NOT to go back there an easy one!
I’m really looking forward to finding this dress somewhere else and trying on the legit sample from the designer!
Thanks so much for everyone’s input! I really loved getting to read everyone’s thoughts! Best of luck with everone’s wedding planning!

you have an awesome figure, very hourglass! i am jumping on the bandwagon for the first, but if you like lots of bling (and depending on your venue/time of day/etc), i think the second could be a good choice too.
