Okay Bees, I need some help here! I’m totally torn between two dresses. The first one (the one with the gold on top) would be altered to fit me, obviously. The top wouldn’t be hanging on me and the waist would be raised to fit me properly. When it’s pulled all tight it looks awesome and actually does make me look tiny. Plus: the shoppe I found it in is GREAT. The lady that makes the dresses works out of the shop and she was able to tell me in 5 minutes flat all of the stuff they’d do to the dress to make it fit. Downside? Expensive. 4K gown, I can get it for 1300, however.
The second one I just love and I can’t figure out why. Something about it strikes me. Downside, however, is I’ve only been able to find it in the bridal shoppe from hell, that I refuse to give money to. I’d have to try and find it at another shoppe. Plus side? Pretty inexpensive. It’s $670.
We’re having an early evening wedding with lots and lots of candlelight. What say you, Bees?

I tried on that second dress, and loved it too! I love it because it’s so simple, you can dress it up however you want. They both look really pretty on you, but I would lean towards the second one, and it’s cheaper! Always a plus 🙂 Even if you can’t find another store that actually carries the dress, any store that carries that line should still be able to order it.

I like the second dress (without gold). It looks lovely on you. The gold one is nice, but can you really justify spending double the money on it? Price was a major factor in buying my dress, so I guess I’m a bit biased.

I like the second dress, it looks so good on you and I just love that kind of dress. I suggest going with the dress you love.

I like them both. Is your wedding formal or informal. The first dress looks very formal but I think I like it better. I think it looks very pretty on you and will look great with the candlelight at your wedding.

I think the 2nd dress looks fabulous on you! That’s my vote!!

Are you sure you can’t find that 2nd dress anywhere else? who makes it again?

Thanks you guys! The wedding will be formal, yes. I liked the first one a lot because I was thinking about how it would look in the candlelight, which will be most of the lighting for the ceremony and reception. The picture doesn’t really do it justice.
Funny thing is, I’ve actually got one other dress on hold, so there’s really 3 I’m choosing between! The third is only in the running because it’s a sample I can get for 375!! I knew I should’ve stopped shopping after the first store…

Dress number 2! So flattering and lovely in a really beautiful way.

There seems to be a consensus here! Given the fact that dear Fiance has just negotiated his first website job as a trade for chocolate, looks like going for the cheaper dress might be smarter… 😉
