I don’t have photos of me in these dresses, but I want your opinions…..After being soooo indecisive and purchasing a Maggie dress, and then considering other dresses, I feel like I’ve officially narrowed it down to 2 dresses. I’ve always wanted something lace and romantic, like Monique Lhuillier’s Scarlet, Miranda, and Claire. And after talking to my fiance, he’s always told me he’s pictured his perfect bride to be in a more Cinderella-esque type of ball gown. He also said he’s more of a traditional type of person and wants his bride to be more traditional. So now, i’m stuck on these two dresses. Dress #1 seems to have that kind of sexy romantic look I’ve always wanted. But Dress #2 is just as romantic and beautiful, and I think it fits more of his vision……
Please keep in mind – we are eloping outdoors and he’s wearing his army dress blues. So he will be looking even fancier with his medals, hat, gloves, etc….I would just want my dress to look like it goes soooo well with his uniform…

I would go with the first dress. I think it would look beautiful with his uniform. Both dresses are great. I think you should try them both on and then decide.

ive always liked the first dress.. jim hjelm (sp??)

I prefer dress #1 but you can’t go wrong with any Jim Hjelm dress.

Yeah, I really love both dresses, and I would have gravitated towards dress 1, but dress 2 has more of that cinderella quality that my fiance likes…and i really want to be what he’s imagined 🙂 i’m not sure if dress 1 can pull off that same effect.

Definitely the first one. I think there is too much of a contrast between the top and bottom of the second one.

LOVE the first one!!! It would perfect next to his uniform, and your pics would be timeless. . .

I like the first one better. But, you should really go with YOUR gut and pick the one you feel happiest in. The truth of the matter is that he will love you no matter what dress you wear (he better!) and any wedding dress will look great next to his uniform. But, a bride wearing a dress she doesn’t love or feel comfortable it doesn’t look great. Also, because you are doing a smaller outdoor wedding a ball gown doesn’t seem appropriate.

1st! =] I think you’ll re-create an even more beautiful image in his mind, HIS WIFE!

Dress 1 looks like my dress so I’m biased…I love that one. You can also wear a crinoline under that dress and turn it into a more Cindrella-esque dress, that’s what I did. That way it’ll be a combination of what you like and what your Fiance envisions.
Take a look at this link – if you scroll down to the very bottom that was the original dress (slim a-line like the Jim Hjelm), and all the rest are with a crinoline.

wow you look awesome in your dress! thanks for the advice. i didn’t know you could do that. is the crinoline expensive to do?
Thank you! Nope, not expensive at all. 50 bucks at the bridal salon, probably cheaper online.
